Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. The food is too bland for me. The coconut shrimp was delicious served with the bacon jam perhaps it was bacon grease because I didn't see any bacon in it but it was good. But the rice pilaf to be honest tasted like it was from a box and only had rice nothing else in it. The spinach artichoke dip I really only saw 2 leaves of artichoke other than that it appeared that it was frozen spinach and was very soupy and bland. I ordered banana Foster but I thought that the ice cream was gritty and the crepes were soggy. Just expected for the meal to be a little bit more pleasing.
My husband and I had such a wonderful dinner here. It was so good! Wonderful service also! Definitely will be back
We came down to Fayetteville for my boyfriends birthday and found Mermaids on line. Absolutely amazing food and I cant say enough about the service. The staff was very accommodating and the atmosphere is stunning. Thank you Ryan our waiter and Damon the manager for taking the time to to get to know us! Super impressed!
We love Mermaids! It's been a whole since we've dined in, but we've managed to do a small amount of take out.The food is better than ever! Exceptional! The front of house staff could stand to drink a Red Bull. They were kind and helpful, but I didn't like the lack of enthusiasm I experienced.
Arrived timely for our reservation - small group. Took over 20 minutes for a waitress to appear. Very friendly. An hour in we finally got our salads. An hour and 45 minutes in finally got our food. Two orders of NY Strip - worst cooked plain steak I've ever had that wasn't on a buffet. Same with the other order. Others in our small party ordered fish plates - both were burned and cold. We're used to everything from hole in the wall to finer dining - for the ambiance and setting we were expecting a lot better. For the price - a substantially better meal. All around we will never go back - would not recommend.
We have visited this restaurant two times, each time was for a special occasion (wedding rehearsal dinners). They really decorated their special room very well. It was beautiful with all the little white lights and they treated us wonderfully with their attentive service.The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed their shrimp pasta and the sautéed chicken dish, but everything was delicious. They treated us to a variety of desserts. I thoroughly enjoyed the dense carrot cake. It was a little different from the traditional, but I'd love to have the recipe. My wife opted for the chocolate cake and enjoyed it.
I went and had lunch there with a group of my friends, earlier this week and the food was decent… What made all of our experience the best was our phenomenal server, Jefferson. His service was just spectacular! He was very polite, he answered all of our questions and was always attentive. He also had a great personality! I plan on coming back on Valentine’s and requesting him and recommending everyone I know to come and see him there. He made the best fine dining experience I’ve ever had.
Went here for a birthday party and had a great time. The food was really good and the service was great. This is a good place to have dinner with your wife or husband for a night out.

Not much to say but save your money and go to Captain D's if you want seafood because Mermaids is a very expensive, overrated waste of time if you are looking for good cuisine don't go here! I came for first time with group of friends and after long wait finally got a table only to be ignored for almost 10 minutes before a short black haired sever named Melissa finally showed up and rudely told us "she was busy so hurry up with our drink orders!" If being slow, rude and obnoxious is something u want from a server then go to Mermaids and ask for Melissa she is sure to ruin your evening just the way she ruined my meal that evening. Save your money and get Captain D's if you want seafood for Mermaids is a joke and waste of my time
