Great food, great staff. They play Jackie Chan movies on a projector l, what else can you ask for?
Went for a date with my significant other here, what we found was- a broken chopstick, hard splintered seats with no cushions, a child a table over banging silverware loudly, different sized forks at the same table, hot building with no ac to be found, long wait for main course and my chicken teriyaki was cold and had no onions, the tempura broccoli had more stem than floret, dishes piled up on our tiny 2x2 table because the waitress never took them away, annoying waitress complaining about her job and telling my boyfriend and I to “break it up” when we were holding hands at our table, she also scolded me when I didn’t have the last bite of the cold chicken I had to force myself to eat (I guess she wanted me to eat it with her there and watching?), reservations at this establishment are odd especially with the staff wearing tank tops and hostess was wearing a plaid summer dress, sushi was 90% Mayo and it was a tiny portion for $$$, lemonade tasted watered down, drink menu incredibly limited, who is getting straight shots of tequila and vodka here? too expensive for the lack of class in this restaurant.
This place was a delightful surprise. The quality was amazing, the presentation was on point, and the service was exceptional. This was one of the best random finds of our trip. I may just drive the ten hours back if they have akagai. The fresh Wasabi was a nice touch.
Food took a while to arrive but very worth the wait. 10 out of 10 recommend
Great tasting sushi. Comfortable layout. Friendly staff. This is just a great place to get some good food! Check it out when you can! And for those of you who don't "do sushi", Meiji has plenty of other options to keep your palate happy!
My husband and I enjoyed the crab tacos and sunrise roll, but the three heat role was just insanely hot. We both like spicy food, but you could barely taste anything after eating this. The service was also ridiculously slow. It took 20 min for us to be able to order, and about an hour for our food — just two roles. After we’d been there an hour and a half we finally flagged someone down (not our waitress, who rarely came over), and miraculously it was ready within 2 min. There’s plenty of mediocre sushi around, and we won’t go back to this place.
I really enjoyed the Chicken Katsu that I ordered and the soft shell crab tacos are delicious! The service was a little slow but they were playing Princess Mononoke above the bar so that was a plus! They have really good cocktails too. The interior is a little fancy but they don't have a dress code so the atmosphere is still relaxing. The food is absolutely worth the price!
Been coming here for over a decade now. Always great. Sushi options are superb (highly recommend the Smoked Cash). We like the spicy edamame. Beer is cold and I prefer my sake warm. Kid enjoys the bento box. Also fried rice for days.
Amazing fresh fish, great service! The quality is so good, you can tell they are very careful in sourcing their products. Please request the fresh wasabi when ordering sashimi, it's an unexpected and delicious and not as pungent. The soft shell tacos are a must; a delightful contrast of flavors and textures to start your meal. Too bad I'm am only visiting otherwise would be a regular.
Surprisingly, one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to. It’s in an unassuming place but don’t let that fool You. The sushi is amazing and the noodles and rice are Devine. I always get the chicken katsu and I am never disappointed. A little on the pricy side. I would recommend this place as a special birthday or holiday dinner or lunch. Also a good choice for business lunch
