Not satisficed Slow Service and forgotten items. Will not be back.. I have visited in the past and it was slow but not this slow. Sundays must be a bad day.
Super bummed about today’s Mothers’ Day lunch. Maybe Zaza’s were just understaffed for one of the most popular eating at a restaurant days on the calendar? As the mom whose family was trying to do something nice for me, it was a little depressing. We had to clean off the only empty table to have a place to sit. Plates we were told to go to the bar to get ourselves were still kind of dirty. The disposable forks and knives were flimsy plastic not up to the task of cutting through pizza, which is notable because the pizza was not sturdy enough to pick up and eat. The pizzas took a quite a while and when they arrived were very undercooked and mushy in the middle but overdone around the edges. The food looked like it might have tasted good if it was cooked well, except some of the olives on one pizza did have seeds.There were things can’t be helped like the holiday crowd noise (though the loud music did compound the chaos) and the olive seeds and the lack of noticeable avocado in a salad that was supposed to feature it. I did not realize Zaza’s isn’t a table-waiter service restaurant or even fast casual like US Pizza but more like an expensive Taco Bueno for pizzas, but that’s a lesson learned. It might help them in the future if they gave a wait time when it’s busy so folks could decide if they’d rather try back later rather than risk spending way too much money and ending up with a similar negative experience. I’ll not likely be going to Zaza’s again.
Awful service. mediocre food. waited an hour to get one of the pizzas we ordered after we paid for 2, then when asked about the second pizza the waiter simply said we didn’t order it. not worth it.
This place was absolutely amazing! Where else can you get a brick oven pizza, a nice glass of wine AND amazing gelato! My family and I cannot wait to go back!
There food is so good but when ordering today I was given a lot of attitude by the guy taking my order. They were very busy so I get why they would be stressed out but there is no reason to act like that. They had yelled that pizza was and hour wait, I went up to the register and asked to order a sandwich and was confused when I got told that it would also be and hour wait. In a very rude way I got told that the lady had just yelled that, when in reality she had just yelled pizza was an hour and I was ordering a sandwich. We preceded to leave and go to purple cow across the street who had much better customer service.
I am baffled! I got food from here a few months ago and they forgot the chickpeas on a salad that is supposed to come with them—not an addition or substitution, just leaving off the protein on your menu item. Today I asked for the veggie chicken substitute; when my husband when in to pick up the order they said they were waiting for that to be done cooking, only to give me a salad with no chick’n. They also made us a veggie sandwich with meat. Out of 3 items ordered, we have never gotten anything correct. I can’t justify the risk of coming back.
Biggest waste of money. The crust left a lot to be desired, there was NO rise and it tasted like cardboard. It's way over prices and they are stingy with the toppings. I got the perella and it had barely any prosciutto on, the goat cheese was minimal. I also got the cheesy bread which tasted stale and I was expecting a garlic flavor but didn't get that. It taste more like last week's bread with cheese toasted on top. I can't believe it takes 20mins for them to cook this trash. I can pay $5 less at Blaze for the same size pizza and get more toppings & flavor. The chick who took my order wasn't even friendly. I got some Gelato as well and while it tastes good, it's way overpriced too. I can't fathom why people come here except to sit at the small bar and watch football.
It was a bit expensive, but the food is fantastic. They make the food right in front of you and the employees are super nice. I recommend getting a pizza and a salad (I had the Salmon salad) afterwards, go get yourself a Gelato. They are incredible. Overall, the place is beautiful and the food is fantastic.
