It has been a while since eating here and was so disappointed. Slow to get a waitress to take our drink order. Our food arrived quickly, but it was only warm. Ordered chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Okra wasn't freshly cooked and the chicken had been in a warmer, but not hot or fresh. Okra was so bad I couldn't eat it all.Update: I sent corporate my info and a week later no response. So I guess poor service goes all the way to corporate.
Have been a regular customer for many, many years in several southern states always enjoying items on the menu. I had the WORST Country Fried Steak lunch EVER!!! Outside crispy as usual, knife cutting inside found the Most Greasy Glob of " beef" I have ever encountered in an eatery in my 79+ yrs. Could NOT Consume. I Was Shocked I had been served this at a Cracker Barrel. With extended family, I just left food, paid bills & left quietly & politely without causing a scene. So beware! P.S. I had a very good waitress as usual.
We LOVE Cracker Barrel! Anybody we take there from out of state does too. Good down home cooking with an adorable store while you wait for your table.The staff is wonderful and greet us warmly eveytime we go.
My family met there for breakfast this morning. My 80 yo mother and 5 others. We went to the hostess and waited for a table. While we were waiting another large group came in and the young man working the host counter seated them immediately. I brought this to their attention and instead of correcting it, the young man with a sarcastic attitude, went ahead and set the other group with us standing there. The manager was no help and did nothing to rectify the situation. The waitress was excellent and that’s the only upside.
It was ok. The hostess was amazing and had to play several roles because the other servers weren't exactly "on there game".We love eating at Cracker Barrel and almost always have the same experience, but this visit not the typical experience we expected. Overall, not bad, but not Cracker Barrel either.
My sister and I had a wonderful lunch yesterday.. The food was delicious and we had the best server. Her name was Elizabeth. We also enjoyed the gift shop and the cashier was delightful.
Not sure what's happening but the experience has changed negatively. What happened to separate portions. I recently ordered chicken and dumplings and a side of macaroni and cheese and they came in the same bowl I don't like my food to touch. It grossed me out. I couldn't eat half of it not to mention the macaroni and cheese got on the chicken, gross. I get it dishes suck but my s*** needs to come separate.
Very accommodating. Moved us to a quieter location so we could actually visit and hear each other. Server was on a top game. Thank you Sterling! Food was very good. Visit there frequently.
We had an excellent server her name was Kayla, she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent as always and we will be back next trip going through to South Carolina. We love Cracker Barrel!!! We haven't been disappointed yet.
They used to have real home cooking; now, they have frozen meat thawed and heated up. My husband's roast beef dinner was awful. The gravy looked like brown jello, and it tasted spoiled. They did take it off our ticket. Still for two dinners, it was too expensive for froze food. Everyone has gone up in prices, but that doesn't mean the quality should go down. We won't be eating there again for a while, if ever. So disappointed.
