Came in a few days ago with a child that has food allergies. Our server was extremely attentive and cautious to be sure he was safe. I’m always thankful for a restaurant that understands the dangers of food allergies. We had a great experience all around.
Salmon hibachi was crispy and delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was bland, gotta load up on their dipping sauce to get there.Great experience sitting at the bar. Otherwise we would have had to wait 15-20 minutes because they seemed short staffed.
Haven't been to shogun since we'll before covid started, looked about the same on the inside but looked a little run down. The prices were very high, I ordered the shrimp and chicken hibachi plate. For what came on the plate 27 dollars was wildly overpriced. 8 shrimp, a few chunks of chicken and a TON of rice, noodles and barely steamed veggies. The shrimp and chicken were OK. My wife ordered beef fried rice and again for 18 bucks she got a ton of rice and a small amount of beef. Will I be back? Probably not, Panda Express is better.
My husband and my 2 girls just ate lunch here. We were seated immediately and the food was really good. The waiter started off really friendly but it became more apparent that he was focused on the other family seated with us. He got them refills but not us. Our cups were empty. He checked back on them and brought their little girl a dessert spoon to eat with when we needed one for our toddler too. He brought containers for leftovers. He literally moved every left over they had into a to go container for them and just handed us ours. It wasn't even that we needed him to do it but the fact that he treated us differently. He brought their little girl a dessert sundae but not ours. I don't know if he is racist as we are a mixed family or if the other family looked better off than us. Maybe he thought they would leave a bigger tip. We tip very well when service is good. Our experience here was more than disappointing and very hurtful that we were treated with such disdain.
I'm not used to eating Japanese food, so I was a little on intimidated to try but I'm so glad I did! The food was fresh and beautifully presented, and really great tasting. I got the tempura shrimp which is basically fried shrimp and recommended that highly! Portions are HUGE so I would share next time
FANTASTIC.....period!!!It was my son's 21st birthday and he ordered his first drink, here. It has been his favorite place to eat for many years.The food was great, his drink was strong and the sweet tea was yummy.The atmosphere is fantastic to be able to visit after a fun show.It is handicapped accessible inside and out.The bathrooms are always clean, too.Shogun is always a hit with us ?
Food was really good. It was fun to watch them prepare it in front of us. Waitress kept the drinks refilled without having to be asked!
Great hibachi. I recommend shogun for nice fun dinners, great food, service, and experience. Make a reservation if you can, the wait can get pretty long. I rate it 9/10
Overall this was about what you would would expect at a Shogun but the food was only average. The “performance/preparation” was good. The service was barely OK. They seemed to want us to hurry and leave.
My family recently dined at shogun, and we really enjoyed your experience. The cuisine was incredible, and the service was really good. Ariel was our server, she was very attentive and took care of our needs.
