Unfortunately, our latest visit to Blu was less than satisfying. We come for Seafood Towers for special occasions with friends; this was our third visit.We visited on 4/23 and our service was beyond terrible. It was as if she knew it was a large ticket and we were a large group so gratuity was guaranteed. Things were incredibly slow, forgotten, and wrong - that mixed with truly bad service was just simply disappointing. We probably won’t return.
My daughter and I stopped by for a quick late lunch. The food was great. I had six oysters and they were fresh. My daughter had the shaggy role and she loved it. Service was great, our server was nice. Atmosphere is wonderful, we sat indoors at a table near the bar. Outside seating looks great/relaxing. My only complaint was standing at the hostess station for more than five minutes without being acknowledged by the hostess who was busy on the phone before she disappeared into the kitchen. Fortunately another employee saw us there and eventually stepped in to seat us.
My wife and I go out to eat with friends and try to eat at BLU a few times a year. Normally we have a very pleasant experience, but this past Saturday was a nightmare. I do need to say something upfront. It was no fault of our waitress (Marcela)! Anyway, here goes... We were seated at a clean table outside. a little dusty, but it was a windy day, so it was understandable. Our waitress brought us water. We ordered appetizers and our meal at the same time. 2 of the 3 appetizers came out in a timely manner. The third (a sushi roll) did not. Three of us had surf n turf. I ordered my steak medium rare. It came well done. I showed the waitress, and she ordered a new one for me. The lobster tails were tough (overcooked). The shrimp were also overcooked. My wife had the Lobster mac-n-cheese. The breading on top was black and we could not find any lobster in the dish except for one small piece shoved in the top for garnish. Being the patient people that we are, we all shared so everyone had some of a meal. We were just about finished when my fresh piece of steak arrived. It was cooked 2/3 of the way through on one side and very lightly seared on the other. I suppose "technically" you might call it medium rare, but I wasn't thrilled. Remember that sushi roll? Yep, it came then as well. It was very obvious that whoever was in charge of the kitchen that day had no clue. I/we felt sorry for the waitress. We could see that she was completely overwhelmed. We also overheard other patrons complaining about their meals. One last thing... If you go there, please be aware that a 20% gratuity is AUTOMATICALLY added to your bill. It's a good thing someone noticed! For what you pay there, the food should be MUCH better. We won't be going back.
Celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. The bbq shrimp appetizer is very flavorful. Wish they were not out of fried oysters! Will return
My first time here and loved it. I had the Seafood Risotto and it was delicious. Staff and owners are all very friendly. Had a great time!

Great food, poor execution. My wife and I were coming to Bentonville and wanted a good place to eat. This looked promising. Made reservations via phone number. When we arrived, reservations weren't in the computer. Sat at sushi bar. Sushi chef was awesome. Most other servers seemed to just scowl as they went in and out of the kitchen. Really gave a downer vibe. Cocktails took forever, bartender couldn't talk and shake simultaneously (seriously, it was funny to watch, then got ridiculous when we had to wait 20 minutes). We received out appetizers pretty quick. Entrees were put on hold. Server brought us our check for food we never received. Rather than just canceling the food we didn't get, he got the food anyway. At this point, the dining experience was just shot, so we had them box it up. When we got back to the hotel, the sides we ordered weren't in the boxes.Food quality was good, but I would only ever go back for sushi, and if I was at the sushi bar. Waitstaff scowls ruin the experience for diners. I know it is a tough job, I have done it, but you put a smile on and work through it. Maybe this is the new normal, but it isn't pleasant.Caution choosing this place.
Wow. Awesome sushi in the middle of NWA. Fresh, delicious, quick, and friendly service. Try the Market roll. It's fish, with more fish, inside some fish.
Blu is always good. They have added so many tables to accommodate more people and it was very busy. I made reservations so we got right in. Our waitress was overloaded but still did a great job. Our food and drinks took a little time but what can you do? They got there and everything was delicious. Our table had crab legs, steak, tuna, lobster bisque with sides of hush puppies, vegetables, asparagus, loaded potatoes and salad. Everything was delicious! Barry and his amazing staff are knocking it out of the park!
Lunch at Blu, no better birthday gift. Wonderful server Virljnda; amazing food (don't miss crab hush puppies or grilled crab cakes); great outdoor seating allowing plenty time to celebrate and soak up an early spring afternoon.
