The restaurant is quaint and spacious. The staff is courteous and polite. The food is incredible, the burritos are a good size for the price. I love their 7 Seas soup
My parents live here in Yuma and brought me to this amazing little place while I was visiting from Louisiana. I will make it a point to come here whenever I visit Yuma. Great food , big portions and great prices!
Enjoyed the first visit here. Folded beef tacos were great, very crispy fried tortilla with very tender beef. The California burrito was recommended (it was a special for the day and not on the regular menu), and it was also excellent (and huge!) The burrito was $11.99 and very worth it. We were pleased with the service.
The hotel recommended this place for lunch. Bad idea. The food is passable-barely. The service is terrible. They drop the food and never come back. I swear I think she left. I asked if the dish had guacamole. She said it did. I couldn't find her (the only person working) to ask for the missing guac and ask why my food was that dark brown color it gets just before it qualifies for burnt. I pulled out the filling and ate it with the pound of lettuce piled over the plate. I didn't want a salad. I think it was there to cover up the almost burnt food. The one good thing was the beans. They tasted like they were homemade. But, don't waste your gas or time. This place is not worth either.
Pretty good food and a lot of it. Decent beer selection.
The lady that takes the orders during the week she has super ugly customer service and she always gets my order wrong. I get it, it gets busy and probably understaffed but that's not an excuse for her attitude all the time. We order from here because its right next to my work but I rather drive somewhere else from now on.
I had lunch recently at Los Manjares De Pepe Foothills located on the "hidden side" of a shopping plaza at approximately the intersection of South Fortuna Road and County 11th Street (South Frontage Roa). One mapping website gives the address of this Los Manjares De Pepe Foothills as 11274 South Fortuna Road. There seems to be another "Los Manjeres De Pepe" on 8th Street in Yuma, as listed in TripAdvisor. The relationship -- if any -between the two restaurants with about the same name is unknown to me. In any event, the restaurant on South Fortuna Road is not much to look at from the outside, and there is nothing fancy in the setting, decor, menus, etc. It does serve tasty, authentic Mexican food with good-sized portions. A lunch steak special (don't remember the name) tasted fresh -- without preservatives -- accompanied by beans and rice. Los Manjares De Pepe Foothill has ample indoor seating but no covered outdoor seating. Service is friendly, based on the "order at the counter for the wait staff to bring out the food to your table" format.
I went to visit my folks at their winter home in Yuma, and I said that I would like to have some authentic Mexican food before I left. My dad said he'd heard of a little place that was supposed to be good, but had never been there. I looked it up and was impressed by the great reviews. We set off in their Jeep to find this undiscovered gem in a strip mall. It took a few minutes of cruising the shopping center to find it, but we did find it. The store front is unassuming, and the place a little worn and cheap feeling. But, we were greeted by a mature Hispanic male that was extremely polite and quite a hunk (per my mother). We were seated in the secondary room due to a healthy amount of patrons. The decor was typical of a smaller Mexican restaurant with an odd entire wall covered in artificial turf, lol. Our gorgeous Hispanic waiter (per mom...) brought us homemade chips and salsa. The salsa was a bit watery, but great flavor and perfect amount of heat (for me and dad). The menu consisted of some traditional Mexican dishes, as well as plenty of Mexican/American fare such as chimichangas and burritos. I ordered a boring beef chimichanga while Dad and mom shared an order of fajitas. Our food was brought out to us in a timely manner by the Mexican Fabio and an extremely beautiful Hispanic woman. Mom had also ordered a side of guacamole and it arrived perfectly fresh and delicious. My Chimichanga was perfect! The fried shell tasted fresh and amazing. The beef was wonderful and tender. But what really blew me away was the re-fried beans and Spanish rice. Both tasted SO much better than your typical Mexican restaurant fare. These were unique, and better! You could tell this was a relatively new place struggling to find it's rhythm and flow. Still, the service was honest, caring, and attentive. The food was much better than typical American Mexican restaurants, and the staff were attractive and pleasant. Will definitely return when I visit next year!
Stopped on the side of the highway and it was great. Had the steak and shrimp fajitas, sizzling as they came out. Beans just like my nanas❤️
