I was excited to try this restaurant after their extensive renovations. When I first entered I was greeted with an awful sewage/fish smell that only lasted while I was in the entrance. There was wonderful live music and the inside of this restaurant is beautiful! Since I love octopus I ordered: grilled octopus tacos, shrimp govenador tacos, octopus ceviche, a horchata and a water. (They charge $2 for water) The grilled octopus tacos were cooked perfectly however they were spicy. The shrimp gobenador tacos were not my favorite because they were over cooked and extremely spicy. Beware of the high spice level for most of their dishes! The octopus ceviche was good but the octopus did not taste as fresh as the grilled octopus tacos and was a bit slimy. However I enjoyed my overall experience and the live music was a plus. I will be back for more!

Service and chelada definitely have 5 star rating. Mariscos were meh alright, better local options. Bathroom was dirty and they weren't really busy, seemed staffed well enough.
This place and all of the other ones have the best seafood and the best soup the seven Mares is beautiful. This ceviche is always fresh and the fish ceviche I like better than the shrimp ceviche. That was a surprise. I had also their fried fish and it was so good. If you ever want to know what a manta ray tastes like go here they have that too

Well my wife wanted to get sea food, and she told me that she wanted to try this place, I was with the lowest expectations, and I was so ready to tell her "I told you !!!"..... But once I tasted my caldo siete mares. WOOOOOWWWWW .... we enjoyed everything.Very recommended if you want to eat real sea food
As I travel, I like to ask the locals about their favorite hometown places. La Resaca was clean, the young woman servers were friendly, the food I saw pass by me to other people looked amazing! The food is mouthwatering and plentiful!

Loved the food and service. The Tiki Toco was fabulous.
We have been coming to this place since it opened and we have never been disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. We used to go to their sites in El Centro and Calexico in California and we are glad we do not have drive that far anymore.
