It was pretty good, cute atmosphere & the workers were very nice & attentive. I would definitely come again. The Mac & cheese was so good. The ribs were delicious & I didn’t know it came with a cornbread so that was cool!
The dump truck is an huge and flavorful sandwich. Money well spent. Docked a few points for getting a dry cornbread muffin and the bread of the sandwich needed to be thicker or have an alternative since the sandwich was falling apart after a couple of bites.
This place was recommended by our neighbors. It's very good. Quaint place that's decorated with old pickup parts. The food was excellent. Smoked to perfection. I would put it up against any chain smoke house and am certain it would come out on top. The price was less than the chains too. If your experience is as good as ours you won't be disappointed.
We were so excited to eat at HS. We ordered a good variety of 5 dishes. When ordering the loaded potato asked the owner aka cashier if it was less expensive to have a potato without the meat, as I'm not a big meat eater, but my friends are. She said no discount. I took all the meat off as it was fatty on top of being tough. The pulled pork was good. All the other meat dishes were tough and tossed. The bbq sauces have great flavors and a good variety to choose from. An expensive evening for meat that is touted as being grilled 16-20 hours. It's not. It would be falling off the bones. One guest had ribs. The saving dish was the delicious peach cobbler! The place is absolutely adorable but the food is a huge disappointment.

This place was absolutely amazing!!! Super fast and and incredible service! Staff was friendly and attentive and OH MY GOD, the food was AMAZING!!!!
Bbq ribs were very tasty, we also had the brisket and tri-tip. All were very good. I don't care for the coleslaw as it needs more sauce and cut smaller. Worth giving a try nice atmosphere and daily specials.
Four of us ate there yesterday and found the smoked meat was very good. But, my Cuban had a sesame seed hamburger bun and should have been in a roll. The two sauces are great. You buy a sandwich and you also have to buy your side separate. When combined its a little expensive since there is no table service and no real atmosphere. Cute little place but I won't be eating there again. Prison Hill Brewery smokes there own meats too with service and much more value. Holy Smokes need to step it up a notch for me.
This was one of our favorite places but never again!! They deceive their customers!!! I ordered the “poppers and salad “ with four spark plugs ( poppers) as per menu. I received my meal with three poppers. I went up to the clerk and asked why I didn’t receive four and she said “oh, we only give three now “. What???? She didn’t tell me that upon ordering!!! What other things are they skimping customers on??! Horrible! We’ll, they just lost a customer forever!!!
Very good food and fun atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. Will be back!
