Food was amazing! Portion sizes were huge! And the food prices where great! The waitress was fast and friendly! Clean and exciting place! Don’t miss this place when your in Yuma

We wanted to go out for the night and see some Yuma sites, read on TripAdvisor that El Charro made good margaritas and had great food. Lots of ambience, lots of guests for a Wednesday night, a very nice waitress on top of things, so that much was promising. We weren't terribly hungry when we arrived, so we split an order of chicken fajitas between us and ordered house margaritas on ice. We were glad we only ordered 1 fajita meal because it was a HUGE portion. It came with one big tortilla that we tore into pieces. The chicken and fajita veges. were lukewarm (not sizzling) when it arrived but lots of flavor. I guess the one letdown we had was the syrupy-sweet, weak margaritas. No zing, just lots of sweet syrup. So food was OK, margaritas were disappointing.

This was my first visit and I love El Charro! The staff was genuinely warm and friendly. The hostess and other servers passed by, smiled, and asked if I was doing okay-wow! And, the food was so good! And, the portions are big. It's hard to find a place that just makes your whole experience so good that you leave happy and full. El Charro meets the mark and I look forward to returning soon!

delicious food excellent service always a pleasure to dine here

We’ve never had a bad meal here, along with great service Our favorite mexican restaurant!!

Voted Best in Yuma because they are!! Great authentice Mexican food at a reasonable price with loads of food

The food was the best I have had in long time. You can't go wrong with this place. Good thing we got there early because it wasn't long and there was a long line waiting to get in. Fast service!!

Wanted a locals restaurant in Yuma. Found this one that has been family owned for 70 years. The food was so good and so reasonable. Santos, our server, was personable and very efficient. Great choice and experience.

Food for the most part was less seasoned than I like it. Portions were generous as I find in most Mexican restaurants. Waitress was very friendly. Food took a while to come out but that's likely due to staff shortages which seems a problem everywhere now.

I love Mexican food. Not this. we were so hungry, was late, 8:00, 10 min wait to be seated, 5 min wait to get a menu, another 12 to be asked if we wanted drinks, another 10 minute wait to take our order, and a long wait to get the food. so, the 4 of us were hungry. this was the worst restaurant in my life. and I'm old. I've been to thousands of Mexican places, this was horrible. chips - terrible. very tough, chewy, stale, they BEND, a chip should not be bendable. the fresh salsa was good, the canned looked so unappealing we didn't touch it. I had a carne asada burrito, was dry, the tortilla was crunchy over toasted in places and raw in places, folded around the insides, not rolled as it was too stiff to roll. I tore it open to look inside. tomatoes were way UNripe, picked those out. the whole inside was DRY. I added some of my refried beans to the inside to make it moist, and ate some that way. My friend had the carne asada tacos, the meat he got was little dried up tiny things looked like cat treats. Another friend had fajitas that he picked at. It was 80% green peppers, which he moved to the side of the pate. Long wait. Long long long wait. And terrible food. The worst. Ick. Never again.
