It was a clean and friendly lunch stop. It's on the menu next trip to the area for sure!
The cheese curds and root beer has been legendary for 100+ years and still holds, if that doesn't sound good then try their all American burgers!
Mediocre fare this afternoon--not the usual excellent we're used to here. My burger wasn't hot, and my fries were overcooked. Wife's food was apparently just right, tho, so . . . Her float was very good
On a trip to San Diego, we decided to stop an an A&W. This one was a co-brand with KFC. It seemed to lean more toward the KFC side of the co-brand but I had good memories of A&W from my childhood. It was a complete disappointment. The burgers were just bland frozen burgers you can get at any grocery store. I have no idea where the fries came from, but they were terrible. The only good thing was the root beer, which was A&W branded. I have serious doubts any of the food is A&W branded. Or maybe my memory, was better as a memory.
We were happy to see an A&W.....as we love their root beer. However our happiness was quickly regretted. Such a terrible service. Could not get orders correct. Not clean. Very disappointed. We will not go back.

I think if the colonel doesn't want burger fast food places to stay out of the chicken sandwich business, they need to make a better one. You know, like the best. It is far from that.
Kentucky fried chicken today, wish she had not forgotten my cole slaw. I'll maybe learn someday to check my order before leaving the store.
Good food. Staff is friendly. And who doesn't love an A&W Root Beer Float?! Worth stopping if in the area
