Pleasantly surprised, I drove by this place and said it's been awhile since I've had any type of Chinese food, let me give it a try. Seeing it was my first time there I was a little confused by the menu but I forgot about that very quickly. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The food came out quickly, so when they say Express they mean it. The quality of the food was exceptional and OMG you have got to have the crab puffs they were amazing. I Also I noticed the second a group left a table the staff was out there to clean it.
I wish someone would explain to me how we went from having several locations throughout Tucson to just this one. This particular location seemed to have a time where they skimped on quality ingredients, but those days seem over now. For the last few years this place has been great. I consistently drive down from Marana just to get one of their Teriyaki Chicken Bowls.
Really good food and awesome employees! Tuesday Teriyaki special is a fantastic deal. I visit once or twice a week and they always get my order correct.
I will not disagree with the service and food lately has gotten better and almost at par with before the politicization of a cold that has happened to this country. I can put out there that it is very off putting that either your employees voluntarily cover their faces or you are forcing them through policy to cover their faces with no medical proof of face coverings mitigating any virus. Will not be coming here anymore to watch people or employess harmed by paranoia and firced or self imposed bondage. Hope you take my opinion seriously I will be expressing my view on all establishment doing this or allowing this insanity to continue with any and all that will read or listen. As for me you have lost a customer untill you the owner or policy change.
Is this the way you treat your customers? I went there and ordered variety with BOTH of them supposed to be teriyaki beef and an order of crab puffs, total cost $16.50. I arrived home (we live quite a distance away from the restaurant) only to discover that I had been given teriyaki chicken. I don't eat chicken. At least the crab puffs were pretty good. So I looked up the website where it says to "contact us" and we will "make it right" and filled out the form, submitted my problem. Also looked up the phone number and all I got was an answering machine. So I left a message. I've called everyday since that happened (4days ago!) NO ONE HAS EVEN BOTHERED TO RESPOND to either my mesages left on their answering machine OR emails. Is that any way to treat a customer? I plan on going there in person (a 45min trip ONE WAY)since no one has the decency to get around to calling me back or addressing my emails.
Price was super high for the food recieved. Paid $20 for a small bowl of a ton of white rice with a little bit of chicken. A tiny drink and egg roll. Taste was OK but did not taste fresh at all. Will not be going back. ?
I love Yokohama! I wish they still had locations on the Eastside. I drive 30mins from the Eastside for Teriyaki Tuesday! It's definitely worth it.
Went for lunch there on 2/4/22. Ordered teriyaki chicken, teriyaki chicken and beef, 3 pack of egg rolls, 2 horchatas. When we got home I saw we didn't have the egg rolls so we called then and said we had to go all the way back, 15 mins to get there so a 30 min drive in total. Also told them that I was paying part of the bill with cash, was about 31 dollars for the whole thing, I gave the cash and said "$X for part of the bill and the rest is on card" it want until around 8pm I looked at my bank account and the whole $31 dollars was taken... To be honest, I just might not return because of this, this has even happened to quite a few of my friends and family
Thanks Daniel (team leader), made our day! Best customer service ever, Yokohama is lucky to have you on thier team!
Pretty expensive for what we got. Very bland. And they cut the protein up teeny tiny which gives it the consistency of cat food.. The cucumber salad was good though.
