Amber did a great job as our waitress. Food was outstanding. My wife and I will be going back again and again.
Had to wait so long to even get water that my wife had to ask for help. They were not that busy, but service was terrible. Long time to get drinks and food after waiting a long time to even see a member of the wait staff. As I mentioned, they were not very crowded but the noise level was still high. There are many more places to go to that deserve your patronage than here.
Great food. I had fun celebrating my birthday there.
I took my family to eat last night for my daughterâs birthday (which I indicated on the reservation). Although our reservation was for inside, after standing at the hostess station for 10 minutes, we were seated outside. It was hot. After waiting another 10 minutes the server came and took our drink order. After another 15 minutes he returned with our drinks. The we ordered our food, started with the garlic fries appetizer. After another 15 minutes, a runner delivered our fries covered in raw garlic. After that no one checked on us or came by our table. Without being able to get anyoneâs attention to get some ranch or ketchup, we gave up on trying to eat the cold, $15 fries. Finally, after being there for 75 minutes, our food arrived. I ordered the sea bass. What I have gotten in the past is a small piece of tender sea bass on top of a large bed of risotto or mashed potatoes (canât remember which- both are delicious). What I got last night was 4 large pieces of blackened sea bass on a small bed of risotto- not what I thought it was. I took three bites and it just wasnât for me, as the tenderness and ability to blend it with the risotto was not there. However, that wasnât the problem. That could very well have been me not listening to the specials and thinking I ordered what I always have. The problem was that once our food was delivered, by runners, no one came back to check on us, ever. After being there for over and hour and a half, I gave up and asked for the check. When they came to box our food they asked if I wanted my boxed. I said âno thank you- I didnât care for it and donât think thatâs what I meant to order.â They simply removed my full plate without a word. No apology. No asking if something was wrong with my meal. No offer to bring me something else or take anything off my bill. Nothing. Just simply removed my $30 plate of untouched food, the $15 untouched fries, and gave me my ridiculous $150 bill. Terrible service, ruined the entire meal.
We've been to Wild Garlic Grill a couple of times previously. This time the restaurant was crowded and very noisy, making conversation difficult. Outdoor tables on the patio are probably much quiter. Food and service are very good. Most main dishes at dinner are around $30-40.
When I made the reservation they asked if it was a special event.I told them it was my wife's birthday. When we arrived the hostess greeted us and wished my wife a happy birthday. Our waiter made no mention of it.After finishing our meal I was expecting that the waiter would bring out some little something with a candle in it. That did not happen. So I am wondering why they would inquire about a special event. Everything else was great.
Tucsons Best Fine Dining. Great Food & Service, Tony our professional Server was amazing! We were celebrating my wifeâs Birthday, and Tony made our experience extra special. We started off with Grilled Garlic Shrimp, Caprese Salad, an Amazing Malbec, from Argentina. I had the Halibut entree, with Risotto, wife had the Garlic Herb Chicken Brest Risotto, With endless fresh bread. The flavors took me back to my Childhood in Monterey Bay Ca. We will be back!!
The food is delicious and the service was great. My only complaint is they got rid of the garlic bread. You cannot be the Wild garlic grill and have no garlic bread! Wake up.
The food was amazing and plentiful. Our waiter was excellent and sensitive to our needs. Love the place.
Appetizer: We tried the escargot with bread for the sauce - Fantastic blend of mushrooms and escargot(s) with a savory garlic-wine - butter sauce. Entres: Duck with cherries and rack of lamb. Exceptionally well prepared. One thing - these are really large portions so you'll probably be taking some home for another meal. Plates are artistically presented - often with flowers - beautiful to see. Sauces match the food perfectly-not too salty or bland. Despite the name, the garlic - always present, is never overpowering. This is probably one of the very best restaurants in Tucson and worth the price. We will be back
