The food was fantastic! My wife and I had the Chinese style duck and it was very tasty. For appetizers we had the miso and dumpling soups and they were fantastic. We got the bowls and they were much larger than expected, much larger than the average âbowlâ. The duck came in two halves covered in the plum sauce and it was cooked perfectly. It was very savory and we would order it again for sure. Our server was a little busy and we ordered things in passing but she was attentive and pleasant to talk with. It did take quite a while for our initial drink order to get to the table, about 15-20 minutes though. Overall I would eat here again and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat!
Not as upscale as I had hoped. Pretty solid sushi though.
The food was great and the service exemplary. We had chicken lettuce wraps, crab rangoons, shrimp lover rolls, California rolls, ramen soup, Mongolian beef, all you can eat sushi rolls, and fried calamari, all delicious. Made for a wonderful evening with family.
good food at a good price. Menu is vast and plenty to choose from. We splurged and treated ourselves to the large sampler starter. There was no bonus points on our player card meaning our cost was full price which we still felt comfortable with. We did not gamble 1 cent, We will likely return and try lunching , that dinner was a our first visit and won't be our last. our server was extremely good.
While the service was very good and the staff quite attentive, we were disappointed in the quality of our meal. The hot and sour soup was excellent, but the house pad Thai was mediocre. The noodles were gummy and either over cooked or had been sitting for a while. The ribs were good and the serving size was generous, they were more BBQ than Chinese 5 spice. We will try another Casino del Sol restaurant next time.
Kinda disappointed in the food. I have eaten here several years before and the food was beyond fantastic. Last night is was the complete opposite. My food was bland and my steamed rice was crunchy, like it had dried out from been left out for a couple hours. Service however was impeccable, which honestly saved the night. Might try again but honestly with the other options available I probably wonât.
If having the sushi, I would skip the featured selections and go with the more traditional.
Ume is a solid 2 and 2.5 at best out of 5 stars. The price is accurate for portion size, quality, and setting. Sushi was sub-mediocre based off of taste and presentation. I ordered Tofu Pad Thai, and by far. That was the worst Pad Thai I ever had. Tofu had a slimy mushy consistency and broke apart in my noodles. Noodles were stale and the meal was lacking 5 key ingredients (salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and creamy) to Thai food. The only thing that we enjoyed was the service and I give that a solid 5. So if you don’t want to be let down hoping for a descent meal, I would highly recommend you dining out at Ume’s intoxicated.
2 out of the 5 things ordered were inedible. This is the only time I've ever sent food back and asked to have it taken off the check. The service was terrible. It wasn't busy at all. The bartender did come over and tend to our table. I think he noticed our server was non existent. I do understand being short staffed, but this wasn't the case.
Ume was either 1. Not expecting it to be as busy as it was, or 2. They had call-outs and/or were understaffed. Service took a very long time, and they only appeared to have one sushi chef. Greeted in 10 minutes, water took 20 minutes, food took one hour...and we were celebrating a special occasion...what a shame, I really wanted to like this restaurant.
