A friend recommended Tumerico as a must-visit part of a weekend in Tucson and I'm so glad she did. Incredible veg/vegan dishes full of flavor and innovation made for a perfect lunch. The owner was working the register and made a point to connect with every customer and make us feel like family. Grabbed a DEVINE Lavender Latte for the drive home too. I'd make the 1 1/2 hour drive just for another visit here.Dishes ordered- Frida Kahlo Bowl & Al Pastor Tacos. Hubby is not a vegan and he was impressed with how awesome jackfruit is as a meat alternative. Well done Tumerico! Not only are you creating imaginative nourishment, you're building a community of love and respect. See you again!!
Hands down the best meal I've had in Tucson. I had the Ropa Vieja Plate and my mouth exploded. I've never had such mouthwatering Jackfruit, and the seasonings were impeccable. I also enjoyed the Saffron Latte, which included mesquite. The batista was really attentive and talented, and the staff checked in frequently to make sure we were enjoying everything, and made us feel like regulars. (Which I'm about to be). The restaurant itself was super cute and comfortable, the tables still well spread out with options for outside seating in the shade. I can't wait to go back soon.
The absolute best vegan food in Tucson! Everything I’ve tried has been a 10/10. Even my picky non-vegan boyfriend loves this place! Highly recommend whether you’re vegan or not!
The staff were not helpful and the food wasn’t good. It was a disappointing experience overall.
Fresh delicious meals. I loved the different flavors and textures. Amazing.
Well, I went vegan at least this one time. This is an “order at the counter” type of cafe. The people were fantastic as this was our first time there. We ordered and took a number and grabbed a table. There is not much ambiance but the food made up for it. I ordered the Cuban Tacos and my vegetarian wife ordered the Viva Mexico Tostadas. For a restaurant that was quite busy (mostly take out orders) our food came rather quickly. My wife LOVED her selection. As a true omnivore I missed real meat but the flavor was good and the portions were excellent. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’ Guy Fieri called attention to this restaurant for good reason—the food is fresh, healthy and delicious.
First saw Tumerico on Triple D. Visiting Tucson in March…family tried it out…we beeping loved it. I am almost exclusively a carnivore, but I’d eat at Tumerico’s twice a week if I lived here. Absolutely delicious!
The food at Tumerico was absolutely phenomenal! We loved the friendly service, fresh ingredients and divine combinations of flavors. My entire family (including two picky teens!) devoured every morsel and begged to return before leaving town! Definitely the best meal we had on our trip to Tucson!
I am fully prepared for the people who will disagree with me. IF you are looking for vegetable/vegan forward fare this is your place! I was so looking forward to some delicious Mexican food after a long day. Going in with that thought set me up for failure. The service was nice - location was clean and popular. My dishes were flavorful and loaded with fiber. However I found the meal overpriced, under cheesed, and wishing for MEXICAN food that embraced slow cooked meats. Truthfully I missed the protein.
Very different menu than usual, but wonderfully and, a bit surprisingly, delicious! I really enjoy finding something unexpectedly good at a restaurant that is new to me. Mushrooms, zucchini and broccoli in a mole sauce and baked kambocha squash bowl with salad greens (spinach), rice, beans, tomato salsa and a really good guacamole! Homemade tortillas come with, thick and warm. Good-sized portions for about $16-17, totally worth it! I would go here for dinner anytime! They list a breakfast and lunch menu but the lunch portion is big enough for dinner.
