Update: I changed my stars to reflect the effort of the staff to rectify an issue.I still will leave My original comment because I think a lot can be done so these situations don't happen. More attention can be paid to the food but I am appreciative my issue was fixed as well as it could be.Undercooked vegetables, clumped noodles. People say if you don't like it then don't eat there - so I didn't for a year until now. My mistake.I have had multiple issues with this place over the past year. Tonight I was showing a friend this restaurant because it was open and they liked Thai food. I went at 830 on (Wednesday )night and ordered the drunken noodles (pad kee mao) and my friend ordered #60 (shrimp pad thai). Her food was great, my food was made as an after thought. The vegetables were basically raw and oiled, the bellpeppers and the green beans snapped as if they were fresh and just covered in sauce. The flat rice noodles were caked together in a gelatinous stack of three layers with no flavor.I would change my review if an honest effort to make something right were offered however this is my 3rd or fourth time in a year where I've had issues with no support. Sorry if this seems unprofessional but hopefully it is a learning point so the next person can eat food treated with better care.
Wow. I’m impressed. I got the shrimp pad Thai and Tom yum gai. The pad Thai was packed with flavor. Shrimp was yummy and it also had these pickled radishes that made the dish a little crunchy. That is not part of your traditional pad Thai and I loved it. It was the perfect amount to get me full. The Tom yum gai was also very tasty. I was shocked to see how much chicken was in the soup but I’m not complaining! The soup itself is not spicy even though it proclaims itself to be so ask for some extra spice if that’s what you’re looking for. I’m definitely coming back to try other dishes. Staff is very friendly and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Recommend trying.
Excellent and authentic food. My favorite thing though was how one employee, when she wasn't greeting new or exiting customers, would go over and play with our 4-year-old who has little patience for sit-down restaurants. She was so sweet to him and ended up giving him a little Tuk Tuk toy for him to take home which he LOVES. The service here is top notch.
Great Thai food. Staff are friendly. Experience and ambiance are top notch. Food quality is great. Prices against portion size are a little higher than some others in town but they more than make up for it in quality and taste. An appetizer entrees for 2 and a shared desert (with beverages) cost ~$50 they've become my go to Thai place in town. Only gripe is they close at 9 which makes it hard to get in and get food when I work swing shifts, however, staff are more than willing to input orders to come out later so you can order everything up front and not have to worry about the kitchen closing.Definitely recommend this place
Good food. Nice laid back environment. I got the pad see eew and hubby got pad Thai shrimp. Both amazing
Enjoyed our dinner. Very authentic. Busy at dinner time. Reasonably priced. Would visit again next time in town.
I really want to love this place. The Tuk Tuk in the lobby is awesome but what's coming out of the kitchen is not really Thai food. I have spent many years in different parts of Thailand and this is did not strike me as real Thai food. Maybe some sort of Thai Chinese hybrid. I ordered a panang curry and it contained no coconut milk. The main component of the curry appeared to be water. The owner has created an excellent vibe and clearly has a love for Thailand. My advice for him or her would be to focus more on making authentic Thai Food. This place has so much potential to be great. The location ambiance and aesthetics are sensational - the food should be great too.
We came here after a friend recommended the restaurant to us. The food was good but the portions for the prices were small. I paid $19 for a pad Thai with crab. At first, I thought they forget to add the crab because I couldn't see it. The pieces of crab are shredded and in very small portions. The appetizer we had was one of their popular choices, but it looked nothing like the picture from their menu. Overall, the food is average but service was good.
Been coming here for many times since they are open last year during Pandemic. But just have a chance to write now. We tried many different dishes that they have and so far we like all of them. The menu are different with all other thai restaurants in town. Friendly hosts, very good service, clean place and delicious food. Our must buy whenever we come is ping pork.
This is a review of their customer service which I was so grateful for the other night. We are not from the Tucson area and ordered our takeout order from this location, thinking we were ordering from the location in Oro Valley. The person we talked to over the phone couldn't have been nicer when we called back saying we wouldn't be able to pick up our order - we offered to pay but they told us we wouldn't have to. Next time we come to Tucson we'll be making a point to drive down for dinner at Tuk Tuk on Campbell. Thank you all so much for understanding! We can't wait to try your food.
