Used to love this place, but they are more focused on their other business than they are on their tamales. We used to get their vegan tamales and now they aren't prepared to serve them in restaurant, per their employees and acted as if that request were a hassle.

Clerk was very friendly, helpful with our choices. Great tortillas. Tamales were lacking in flavor, maybe just the batch?

Total tamales today! Warm for eating now or frozen for later. Plus an offering of other types of Mexican cuisine and a lot to drink. Friendly helpful staff. Recommended.

TTC is a no-frills operation with delicious tamales and sides. The tamales plate is a great value, and they always have plenty of delicious fresh and frozen vegan and vegetarian options. The tortilla chips are sad, considering how great the rest of the food is- a nice, restaurant-style non-Tostito would elevate TTC to perfection. The salsa bar will be missed, if the pandemic has killed that forever.

Everyone at this tamale shop is so kind and the tamales are amazing. I definitely recommend checking them out :)

I really wish I could like them, but ALL their tamales are made with cilantro (which is sadly mentioned nowhere). Hopefully they’ll come up with an alternative

I waist my my $$$ Really bad quality The tamal was totally open before finish cook Really bad decision Never again… First time I try this brand the I find at Publix

Not the best tamales, but certainly the most expensive. I'll try a more authentic restaurant next time.

We went at dinner time on Saturday to sample some tamales to see if we wanted to order three dozen for a party coming up. It was not busy at all. The young woman who greeted us was nice enough but seemed a bit rattled and didn't explain the offerings of hot food service vs frozen takeout very well. My companion and I each chose an eat-in combo plate with two warmed tamales, all different types, with a side of salad. Unfortunately, the order came with only three types of tamales because they had flubbed the order and gave us two beef red chili which were very spicy. The masa used was very finely ground and flavorless; the kind of dry instant masa harina you can buy in bulk at Walmart. I was expecting freshly ground masa but this clearly wasn't. They were so bad, I didn't finish mine. Also, the undressed salad served came with five or six spoiled cherry tomatoes. It was a totally uninspired dining experience, one which we will not repeat. Too bad.

We’ve enjoyed stopping in for tamales every time we’ve been through Tucson in the past 6 years, but this stop will be our last. The restaurant was empty, tamales were inedible soggy masses of masa, side options were unappealing and the staff was less than enthusiastic about our presence. It is so sad to see a local restaurant that we’ve so thoroughly enjoyed go so far downhill.
