We love expect and experienced a very tasty and clean breakfast buffet. Many fresh fruits with hot food line well stocked for self service. Server Sean was available for any request and quickly cleaned up as diners finished their eating. Another quality Marriott stay! Thank you Sean and team! Mahin and Mejia family.
Everything at hotel was wonderful! Staff was friendly and helpful! Shout-out to Sean and Alex in the concierge lounge! They did a great job of keeping everything stocked and were so welcoming! Will definitely be visiting the hotel again!
Great big lobby, and spacious rooms. All the furnishings of a standard Marriott brand. This location is great, right off campus with plenty of things within walking (albeit all college crowds).\\n\\nBreakfast is $18 for the buffet, looked overpriced. Outside TVs didn’t work and staff was strict about bringing our own drinking into the lobby.\\n\\nTry not to stay on the East side (Tyndall Rd) - trash comes every morning at 6am and bangs dumpsters around for at least an hour
The staff was what made me give this a five star. Everyone was welcoming and multiple people went above and beyond. Especially Bridgett, she even walked me outside to find the parking garage. Shannin also was an amazing host for our meals, Erin too. There was also another person that would help with the snacks but I never caught his name. I was there 5 days and each day the service was consistent. Rooms are nice too!
My family and I stay at the Marriot whenever we are in Tucson, and recently, we had an very pleasant experience, greatly credited to one of the employees. Her name was Reign and she worked the front desk. She was extremely helpful with everything we needed, and very kind. The hotel itself was maybe a 3.5 out of 5 stars, but she made the experience so much better! Overall, the experience was really determined by the staff, and luckily we got to deal with probably one of the kindest people there!
Will chose Courtyard or Residence Inn next time. Shower water barely even warm during the whole stay although I reported it. Front desk seemed aggravated when I called about it and wasn’t fixed. Lounge staff were very friendly but the evening appetizers only offered cheap pizza. Breakfast not the best at the lounge either. The main floor bar staff were very friendly also. Next time choosing Courtyard!
Great choice near the university. As an Ambassador Elite member, the concierge lounge was one of the best benefits of having status with Marriott, enabling my family and I to get fresh coffee and snacks throughout the day and a cooked breakfast each morning. Highly recommended!
I usually don’t post review but for Aries I will. Aries helps with housekeeping and has been very attentive to details—brings extra tea bags as I left some on the counter, brings makeup remover when I have makeup on my counter, etc. Overall, room is more spacious than a typical Marriott, open building layout, good first floor dining/lounging space. As a titanium member, I received great accommodations. I will note one thing for anyone who will stay here (and unfortunately it’s out of Marriott’s control), you will likely get eat plugs in the room as neighboring building has loud music occasionally and trash truck comes around 5:20AM- 8:00 AM regularly.
This hotel is located very close to campus and other downtown attractions. Parking is available for a fee and there is a valet. The hotel had an atrium feel with large open spaces. Rooms are decorated in modern furnishings and the bed was very comfortable. There is a coffee maker in the room. It was very clean, nicely sized and everything worked. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast that was delicious. There is no complimentary breakfast. For a one night stay it was great and I would stay there again.
I travel a lot and the Marriott University place went out of their way to accommodate all my needs. I recommend staying here if your in the Tucson area. Also there are some great areas to get in a fast hike near by.
