Best place to go eat at in Tucson. They have a great variety of quality food ranging from Mediterranean, Mexican, BBQ, and Asian cuisine and the selection of beer is outstanding. The place is kid and dog friendly, and they have tons of great events weekly including live music and trivia. The owners are friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience. Stop by and see for yourself, you won't regret it.
The food at the Mediterranean food truck was pretty good. The owners in The Pit are really nice. They have a lot of events including movie night on Saturday and concerts on Friday!Looking for something new? Try here :)
There has been a food truck or two at this corner for years, but now it is The Pit. There are 6-8 trucks with seating, shade and things for the kids to do. They were even having live music tonight. The trucks change intermittently so check often to see who is there. Parking is available at the nearby shopping center. There is access from both Pantano and 22nd St.
Awesome spot in East Tucson! Good rotation of food trucks, as well as their regulars. And the open area is great for kids to play in. 100% recommend!
Stopped by and had a beer and bite to eat after getting my Jeep serviced across the street. They've got a pretty cool unique setup, the only downside was that the beer could have been just a tad colder. I'm not sure if I just happened to come in after a full restock was done or if the temp in that fridge just isn't getting low enough. Beer was still cool(ish) though, so I still enjoyed food and beer at the wooden tables by the outdoor games. I'd definitely come back and try it again.
Sweet little place on the corner in the old gas station. The food trucks meet up there. Cool Running the Jamaican truck knocked it out the park. If you like real jerk chicken this is the spot. Unfortunately they had ran out of beef patties but I'm sure they are killer. Super good food, consider going if you have not.
This place was so much fun to get everyone together and just hang out. The food trucks were so good! A good variety. They had corn hole a mini putting green, Toss game and board games on the tables. Music was playing.
The first time at The Pit was great!!! Great weather, beautiful trees and set up! Our kids loved getting to pick their dinner.Off the Hook was really tasty! Their fries and hush puppies are amazing! The Mediterranean truck doesn't use egg or milk in any of their items. That was a great option for our food allergy kiddo.Another food truck had Easter eggs with candy or prizes!I highly recommend taking a nice walk and going!**They have a bathroom in the bar areas! It's nice and clean!
Bemo’s - the Big Red Food Truck. The gentleman taking orders outside the truck was nice. I asked if the brisket was good; he said, we wouldn’t have it on the menu if it wasn’t good. So, I ordered a sandwich with slaw. It was ready in about 15+ minutes. I found a place to sit and tucked in. First the Cole slaw had absolutely NO seasoning - not sweet, not spice, not even salt and pepper. Edible, but not flavorful. The brisket was tough, dry, stringy and not seasoned at all - except for barbecue sauce. I had to cut it to eat it and pulled it apart with my teeth. Another patron ordered it; she took a bite and quickly returned to the truck to ask for a replacement. I had pretty much picked through mine, but you could see there were lots of pieces of meat, and most of the bun, left in the container. I took mine back and he took it without question; said they had had a bad batch. So about 10 minutes later he gave me another plate. I tried a small bite and it seemed better, but since I had already eaten a bit, I brought it home with me. Decided a few hours later to try this one; tough, dry, stringy and no seasoning. I had to throw it away. The price was fair, $12, which is the only reason I gave two stars and not just one. I appreciate the effort and courtesy of a new plate, but I will never order it again. One friend had the fried chicken sandwich and said it was good. Two friends had pulled pork and they said it was not remarkable, fairly good, but again, had no seasoning or spice except a little barbecue sauce. We tried.
Great atmosphere and selection. I was in the mood for some Mediterranean food and I was not disappointed. The entire atmosphere is welcoming and chill. Strongly recommend you visit if you have not already done so.
