This place was ok. I thought the service was good, not a lot going on when I went. I would try it again.
Im boutta put everyone who works there in my will. This is the best food I’ve ever had. Get the elote fries! I could literally feel the endorphins going off in my brain when I ate them.
First and foremost the food was great. Fries and onion rings done perfectly. Entrees were very tasty and cooked well. It seems like this restaurant was designed as a lunch venue. We thought of it as a dinner place. The name “Blacktop Grill” implies a casual dining place with possibly a bar and booths and tables. The atmosphere was sparse. The beer menu was very limited also.The cuisine is clearly Mexican and quite good. The name implies to a first timer something different.We also noticed a staff member who sat in a booth buried in her cellphone. She offered no help when the phone keeping ringing because the front end person was taking an order. We found it a little unprofessional for her to be doing her “manager thing” in front of customers.I encourage folks to give this place a try. You will enjoy the food.
I had a large take out order and the employee there (I’m bad at remembering names) was very polite and even helped bring the food to my car. I insisted I could make a second trip, but he had already grabbed the floats and was heading towards the door.Overall, a great experience for my first order at The Blacktop Grill. The food was also good. I will return to try more from their menu.
Best eats!!!! In town. A must try, especially if you just want to try something new and exciting. On my first visit, had to try a little bit of everything. And let me just say.... NOTHING on this menu will let you down. Costumer service was superb and got to meet the owner, one of the most down to earth human beings. So highly recommend this place.
Their taco salad is one of the very best. It was so good I did not use the avocado cream dressing. It is a LARGE serving that comes in a bowl with very tasty tortilla chips on the side. Very healthful. We also had the Sonoran Dog and the cheese tacos, which were also very good. The cheese tacos uses a layer of fried cheese folded to make the taco shell. Very low in carbs.
Not bad, not bad, not bad. I don't typically leave reviews on places I only try once via delivery but I don't live here so here's an abbreviated version.I tried my first Sonoran Hot Dog and it was pretty damn good. Their motto is "Breaking Diets Since 2014" and they did just that. For those of us not in the know, this Sonoran hot dog took all the health benefits of a regular hot dog and elevated it. They added bacon, chorizo refried beans, and an avocado creamy sauce. Their chili cheese fries were pretty bomb as well. All ingredients tasted fresh but I could tell this would be even better eaten in the restaurant versus delivery. Pretty sure I've turned my Tucson-based friends on to Black Top and I'll return back to North Carolina only with fond memories.
Went for the first time today and the food was soooooo delish!! Ordered the street corn, chicken torta and buffalo sandwich…..amazing! Def a fan now and I’ll be returning soon ???
Stopped in for lunch today and had some steak tacos which were around $12 but worth it. If you haven't tried it the menu is pretty unique ?
The food is incredible and so unique! I love that they cater to all diets and will modify for for food allergies as well!
