This Deli was a big disappointment, the Omar sub was less than what I expected, there was barely any meat and it was drenched with sauce and it made my sandwich soggy. The Rueben sandwich was served on a store bought wheat bread even though it stated it was served on a rye deli bread. I was so disappointed, do not recommend .
Food great! Beer cold! Best Blue Moon in town! Super clean and I would very much recommend. I drank all my beer and that’s why I added that picture.
I forgot what about my first experience i was so enamored with. But i swung in for lunch and got the Special of the Day (BBQ), proceeded to get a drink, then realized they had a combo option for fries instead of chips. This is because they menu is all over the place, not streamlined in any way. I dont know if it was an option to add toppings to my bbq sandwich, but what i got was this shredded beef slop, with chunks of solid dry beef here and there. The sauce it was slathered in was tasteless. The fries needed salt. The fruit punch tasted like red colored water. And the pickle slices tasted like sliced cucumbers that took an overnight bath in a brine solution. Overall extremely lackluster flavors.
We happened to stop here for lunch after arriving in Tucson. Who could resist a place called Sausage Deli?! What a great choice it turned out to be. Polite and quick service,, clean establishment. The Artichoke Reuben was unusual and so tasty! We also enjoyed the hoagie and the barbecue sandwich. (The soft baked chocolate chip cookie was worth the impulse buy, too.)
Love the food... Front register lady was extremely rude. I called in an order and she acted like it was an inconvenience with attitude in her voice. When we arrived to pick up the order she was still rude. I've never experienced this with Sausage Deli. I've been going there for over 15 years. Sandwiches are amazing thank you for the preparer
We love Sausage Deli! My husband is a pretty regular offender and he's got me hooked now. Great fries, and the Omar and grinder sandwiches are our go-to choices!

Seriously so disappointed. I ordered a Rueben and expected the bread to be nice a toasted. Instead I got some meat, half melted cheese, and some sauerkraut on two tiny pieces of bread that was soggy from being tossed in the microwave. Literally, all the hot sandwiches were being microwaved in front of everyone waiting. Not a single toaster or oven in sight. I could make a better sandwich at home! Sad.
Love this place. The team here is great. I’ve seen them when the place is packed and things shutting down like their debit/credit card processor and they are still keeping their cool. Any obstacles and they push forward. I’ve even come through their door minutes before they close (which is my fault for not checking their hours) and they were kind enough to still take my order and make me my favorite sandwich. Thank you guys! I am appreciative of your service and food.
