Best place ever love the beans.
I just ate one of the worst burritos I have ever eaten and I have eaten many burritos in my lifetime. This burrito at Salsa Verde was a carne con chile burrito. I didn't catch the fine print that it had spanish rice in it or else I would not have ordered it. But it was 1.3 grated cheese, 1/3 spanish rice and probably four or five piece of meat and it was so tepid that the cheese was not melted. It came with a little bowl of beans that tasted like ranch style beans out of a can and I was given a spoon that was the size of a serving spoon, larger than a traditional soup spoon. The menu was confusing and my husband's refried beans were salty. We've been to Salsa Verde three times now and I remember my meal the last time was less than satisfying. We won't be back.
My brother and his family love this place, I'm a bit indifferent coming from Southern California. The Bacon wrapped burritos I heard were ginourmous, however this chimichanga was not. The carnitas was good though, not dry at all, which is a problem sometimes at other places. Shredded beef tacos were ok, portions were big with a ton of arroz y frijoles.Salsa bar was great. My biggest disappointment was the menudo. Literally, and I say this LITERALLY had 4 pieces of tripe, and a ton of garbanzo beans (or was it hominy?). They did have oregano which helps the cause, but I basically had chickpea soup. Our friend got the white menudo and she had more tripe. Maybe that's the ticket for next time.I'll have to do a burrito next time. Carne Asada.
I went there for 1 thing only. The large bacon wrap burrito. I got the supreme bacon wrap burrito. Dang, it was huge. Filled with chicken, beef, avocado and vegetables. Tasted great. Had to be the best dinner burrito I've had to date. The also have a Large menu to choose from. Friendly and drive thru available. A must visit in Tucson. I wanted el paterons burrito but they were not open. I was not disappointed at all by my selection.
It was so delicious I can't wait to go back, I ordered the best Nachos ever, it's a clean an has a lovely ambiance and you get alot of food. Unfortunately I took the picture after I ate, lol...sorry I was starving! It was the bomb/ so so good an they have cocktails an a salsa bar with absolutely everything you could want, I can't wait to take my husband, I found out it's a family owned restaurant an there staff were so nice
Hands down the best Mexican restaurant on the Eastside. Far better Mexican food than where I'm from in Missouri.
Although you walk in and think it looks like a fast food restaurant, the quality of food is far from it! The mole sauce is the best I have ever had. The chicken chipotle burrito wrapped in bacon was huge and so flavorful, perfect blend of flavors. So glad we found this place.
I’ve been coming to this place for a while now and it’s not just because their food is good, but their staff is always friendly and they make you feel welcomed. Brisa is usually at the register and always has a smile on her face :) and overall has a great attitude, you can tell she loves her job and her customers.
EVERYTHING!!! The food is absolutely amazing and the margaritas are the best I've ever had in my life
Awesome food. Loved the salsa bar which included pickled onions, avocado crema, assorted salsas, and taco fixings. Tried the ranchero chicken quesadilla. Amazing. Hubby tried the tamales. They were great. No areas of improvement at all, cannot wait to go back. Nice people working there.
