Roma has got me thinking what’s the point in cooking my own food ever again ? everything I’ve had there is outstandingly delicious, never knew frozen entres could ever taste this good! The spicy sausage lasagne is mind blowing, the raviolis, soups, sandwiches, freshly baked breads yummm!!! I grew up in NYC and have traveled Italy a lot, and I’m struggling to remember examples of similar culinary excellence ? the staff is hardworking and friendly, too
Okay here I go…I moved to Tucson from the northeast (lived in NJ and Boston for 28 years) and Roma Imports has been my safe haven for quality Italian lunch food in Tucson. You go here if you want to make a quality pasta with authentic ingredient, or have a great Italian sub and a high quality Italian dessert after. Ever wonder how satisfying it is to fill your own cannoli? Wonder no more they have the shells and the filling.This place is the best Tucson has for Italian ingredients and lunch options. Full stop.Reading a previous review about how their breaded chicken parm was a chicken nugget with sauce made me wonder if that reviewer needs a new pair of glasses and some functional taste buds. In any event, they now only serve the chicken parm with grilled chicken, which they know is wrong, but the reviewer got in their head.Roma imports is great and they should be able to bread their chicken without some know nothing reviewer blasting them because he missed his eye appointment.Go here, it’s great!!!
Lunch was absolutely delicious. Their frozen and refrigerated section is vast. This place reminds me of the Italian neighborhood in St. Louis, MO called the Hill.The authentic food is a must.
I needed catering for a group of 15 with one day's notice. Lillian graciously handled the order and made it just right for us—my daughter has a food allergy, and Lillian ensured that the food was safe for her. We ordered a simple menu (a mixed sandwich platter, a green salad, and dessert), but EVERY item got rave reviews from my guests. Roma is the best!
Great place. They have a huge assortment of imported goods! The lemoncello cake was amazing, as well as the cannoli and tiramasu. Also their chicken parm sandwhich was fantastic!
This secluded Italian bistro is an amazing find of authentic lunch dishes as well as a place to purchase Italian treats of all kinds to take home. Its a favorite lunch spot when I'm in the vicinity in Tucson
This is definitely a hidden gem you need to visit! They have a very large selection of Italian entrees, desserts, and everything in between imported from Italy, of course. They also feature vegetarian and gluten-free entrees like lasagna, and more. They also have imported snacks, oils, pasta, sauces etc.Roma Imports also has a dining room with an absolutely delicious menu to dine in or take away. They all were wearing masks and are on top of Covid protocols (if you’re sick, plz order curbside and not dine in etc). The staff was very professional and polite. I highly recommend and we definitely are going back.
Had a fantastic lunch. I recommend the romo sandwich with spicy peppers. This is a great place for lunch. Their take and bake looks yummy.
An amazing place to pick up some Italian ingredients, such as olive oil, tomato sauce/paste, sausage, deli meats and uncooked pastas. They also have a wide variety of prepared foods for pick-up as well as food for you to prepare at home ranging from dinner to dessert. This is also a great place to grab some either hot or cold subs and other Italian foods like tiramisu and canolis. Will definitely be coming back to eat and shop again.
