I have three shout outs - Emily (Manager), Anthony (Server), and Caden (Bartender), whoot, whoot, whoot! For exceptional customer service, foodie attention, education, and knowledge of every single scrumptious dish and drink on the menu.Thank you Team for keeping the standards high for us customers; I know we are demanding. Your attention in service made us feel like the only ones in the restaurant, and you were busy beautifully juggling the care of your patrons.Food? Thank you for being on the East Side. As a person with food restrictions, Tucson's East side lacks the colorful plethora enjoyed more by folks living central and downtown. Fresh, made with extra care, and a sprinkle of love, your dishes are most exquisite and unique on the GF/V front. Merci!I enjoyed the Monster Bowl (scrumptious, satisfying size and filling, fresh & diverse) + the Chickpea Scramble = WOW! The side jam made from jalapeno-tomato ingredients was sweet and exotic. The chick pea endeavor was most adventurous and light tasting & astounding to explore. It's tough to make something unique that will hit the universal pallet. Thanks y'all for being a BIG part of our experience today! Not just great food, formidable TEAM all around!Steffi

The food looked wonderful. The duck confit was all potatoes with 2 cubes of salty duck. The coffee taste burnt & bitter. Even cream did not help. The service was slow and we felt quite abandoned after sitting down. Our server came for our order after 15 min. And lastly, the music was too loud. I felt like I was in a bar, and had to shout at my friend across the table. We went there to reconnect, but could not hear eachother.

I frequently go to Prep & Pastry with my spouse and this was the first time I felt like I needed to share a review. Great food as always, but the place is looking run down. From the bench seats with extensive wear and tear to the chair that I sat in that nearly fell apart when I grabbed the back rest. The plants throughout the area look unwatered and lifeless. The water that they serve tastes awful as if the filtration hasn’t been serviced or the glassware is dirty and contaminating the water further. It seems there is a severe lack of attention to detail aside from the food. There was hair rolled up in my silverware, but luckily the service is willing to correct things quickly. Hope there are some improvements soon.

My dining experience today was the worst I have ever had in this establishment. My partner and I used to frequent this place in the past even up into the early pandemic when restaurants opened back up again and we had always had consistently hot food with great flavors and great wait staff. I understand that the pandemic changed some things, but during this visit, we were one of 5 diners in the building with at least 3 wait staff on shift. That all being said we waited longer than we ever had for our food and everything was COLD or barely warm. We will not be returning to dine here and I advise anyone reading this review to avoid this establishment or at least know that you have to ask for your food if you hope for it to be mostly warm when it arrives at your table... It seemed the wait staff's priorities were more based on socializing with each other at the bar than doing the basic tasks required of someone waiting tables.

I’ll cut to the chase… A friend highly recommended Prep and Pastry. I was looking forward to a great breakfast. The eggs were cold, the coffee was week and cold like it had been in one of those thermos things some restaurants use, the toast was cold and the butter had a weird flavor, could it be rancid?, and the potatoes were kinda greasy. I hate to eat food like this. For me , I can’t digest it properly. The place was lively and crowded, everyone seemed happy with their food. I unfortunately had a horrible that made me feel sick.

Delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch place with fresh ingredients and options for people with dietary restrictions. Several of us loved the duck confit, which came with potatoes bursting with flavor along with greens, goat cheese, a little bit of cooked cherries, and all topped with on over-easy egg. Also had a nice kids menu.

decent spot for lunch. really nice service and the food didn’t feel like a brick in your stomach.the drip coffee was excellent.portions were small, but the ingredients seemed fresh. lots of gluten free and vego options and the server was kind enough to work with us on substitutions.

This morning I visited Prep and Pastry with my family (3 adults 3 children). From the food to the staff, everything was incredible! I ordered the biscuits and gravy, with scrambled eggs and fried chicken. The gravy was so mouthwatering that I had to order an extra side of it. If you get to choose your waitress choose Dana! She was the absolute best!! She was super friendly and professional.

I hate to rate it this low, really like the food. But the service was lacking. Daughter and I got seated in a fair time, and put in our order. Waited over 35 minutes for the food to come out, just to have the sides steaming hot but the benedicts we ordered were cold. Came back out pretty fast the second time. Overall spend hour and forty minutes there. I'll try one more time.

A colleague and I had breakfast at Prep and Pastry this (Monday) morning and, wow, I daresay I now have an awesome brunch spot not far from my residence. We sat outside in the patio area on a very pleasant, sunny morning. I'll start by saying the service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly, attentive, chatty, and fun to be around. I ordered the Poblano Verde Benni because, well, I love eggs Benni and I love this twist on a what-would-hopefully-be a bit spicy, too. While turning out not being spicy by my taste, this was a delicious Bennie that included carnitas with the perfectly cooked eggs Benni. This is a substantial meal because...well....brunch! But no regrets and I'll definitely return to try other items on the menu. Besides the pastries, I'll have to try the omelettes, Cast Iron Duck Confit (yum!), Breakfast Poutine (oh my!), and others, too. I could go on. Really. So, great job, gang. Keep up the great work!
