I ordered online for pickup. I walked in and waited at the pick up area. The employees saw me and another lady waiting but didn't acknowledge us. Someone in the kitchen finally told them to assist us. Guests should be greeted promptly. Don't look at a guest and then pretend like we are not there. The food was okay. Both myself and my boyfriend were sick from the food that night though. I don't think the price equates to the quality of the food. The entire experience was horrible.
I used to love Pei Wei's at that location. Hadn't been there for a while and just had picked up take out. Wow! I couldn't recognize the food and how much my favorite dish had changed. Tons of rice, really low quality chicken, the dish had almost no taste but a lot of sugar in the sauce (it's supposed to be spicy and flavorful). It was simply a mess and I threw it out after a few bites. Won't be coming back!
My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday and it was so disappointing!! The chicken tasted like the identical chicken I buy from the freezer section of Walmart. You could literally taste the ice in the breading. The entree I got advertised spicy and there wasn’t an ounce of spice. The fried rice which is not a cheap up charge was extremely greasy. The soy sauce wouldn’t even absorb into the rice because of the abundance of oil. You CANNOT charge a lot of money for something you can make very easily at home! Extreme disappointment. :(
There were 6 in our party, 3 of us had full plates of food and 3 of us had more rice than anything. My daughter counted 4 pieces of chicken in her entree. When I asked an employee about the difference in portion size, I was told “That’s the portion size, there isn’t more in one bowl it just looks like there’s more because there’s carrots and snap peas.” The taste of the food was good but the inconsistency of portion sizes and ridiculous employee response was enough to make us not want to come back.
This is my husbands favorite place to get Asian type food. I ordered the General Tso Chicken and was disappointed. There was so many carrots and they were hard (could have been cooked longer). I typically order the Orange Chicken and have never been disappointed with that. I just wish there were less carrots in my General Tso. The crab rangoon is good. The service is quick and the workers are friendly. The atmosphere is nice.
I see similar reviews on the curbside pickup service - don’t bother using it, you’ll waste your time waiting in your car while your food goes cold.We arrived at the pickup time we indicated, text messaged the name and space no, waited 10min. Of course, we went into the store and found our order just sitting there. It’s not the first time this happened.
Placed an order tonight for curbside pickup. Got to store, parked in spot, sent a text with my name and spot number. There were other cars in curbside pickup. After about 10 minutes of waiting I see a lady coming out of the store, by her walk and actions you could tell she was upset, she gets in her car which is parked in curbside pickup. Well that told me they had no plans on bringing my order out. Went in to the store and there my order was sitting in take-out. Picked it up, went out to car, checked the bag, which I usually don’t do and one of my items was missing. Went back in store, asked for my missing item and if they were not doing curbside? She ignored the question went and got my missing item. I left.Get home, open up the lettuce wraps. The lettuce was a joke. The food was not what we are use to eating from a Pei Wei, really bland. This is not the first time this location has screwed up. I get that places are short handed but if you are not doing curbside then don’t offer it. If you can’t get fresh lettuce don’t offer it. If you don’t have enough people to run your restaurant then maybe someone from corporate should come help?. We will not be returning.
This place is always great, fresh and fast.
Always an interesting and tasty meal here. Not your normal American chain store. Restrooms dated and dirty.
edit 1/02/22So they replied to this review as you can see below with the general copy paste responses. I tried to email the address provided and it's not even a real address. good job.Food was very bland. None of it had any seasoning what so ever. The white rice has more flavor than the fried rice which is sad. Fried rice was also clumped together like mush . Lo mein was very oily and again no flavor. Kung pow chicken was also bland but at least tasted somewhat like it should even if slightly. I wouldn't suggest this franchise if this is how they all are. For the price they ask combined with how the food tasted , i might as well go to panda for a quarter of the price.
