We had come here a few years ago and I was impressed. This time, it was not the same. I did not enjoy the taste of any of the drinks I had and the sushi tasted like it had been sitting there for a while before it got to us.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. I love Poke and they do it best! However, it was a good 45 min before I was served a drink or appetizers came out. Our waitress was very friendly and I think the issue was a slow kitchen for whatever reason. The menu seemed to missing some previous dishes such as the Thai salad. Before Covid there was an elegance to this Asian restaurant that I loved. It miss it.
Thereâs no parking, had to park in a paid parking garage across the busy intersection. Udon miso soup was too salty. Spam bao was spicy kids couldnât eat it, one of their bathroom was closed off.
I love their gluten-free inventive rolls. Great cocktails too!
Everything was amazing, got same server as the time before believe her name was Leslie sheâs always so professional (but friendly), attentive and super knowledgeable.

The constant change in menu and doing away with most of the signature rolls is what made Obon a unique and worth the money restaurant. In addition, sub-par service with sub-par food is another minus. It seems to be that the most popular sushi was probably most expensive for corporate & THIS is why they changed the menu. Sushi Garden gives you more variety & Ra does also. I wouldnât bother with Obon & their overpriced menu any longer. Lots of employee turnover is another red flag
worse service from the host stand... took me 45 min before they let me sit at an open bar seat, that was open the entire time. Also, once I was sat, it took 12 minutes for a server to ask me what I wanted. Top to bottom one of the worst run places i have been to in a while
Husband and I went for a Sunday date night. The spicy yellowtail roll was delicious. I loved my yellowtail sashima and my husband really enjoyed his rolls. The service was excellent and the ambience was nice.
