I'm curious if management reads these reviews. If so, how does Victoria (the girl with the purple hair) still have a job? I understand it's hard to hire right now, but seriously this woman is losing you customers and money. We were regular customers but we've had more than one horrible experience with this person. The first time we chalked it up to a "bad day". Everyone has them. But her poor attitude is more consistent than the macaroni salad. Last time was our last time. She was rude and clearly hates her job, she was mopping the floor and putting up chairs 2 hours prior to closing, making everyone dining in feel rushed and very uncomfortable. As we stood at the counter, waiting to order, the phone was also ringing. She continued mopping as if she were oblivious. The phone finally stopped ringing (presumably a customer?) and then she finally came to take our order going out of her way to show us she didn't want to be bothered. Don't worry Victoria, we won't be back to bother you again.
The food was absolutely great here. The service was great as well this is a spot that if you haven't gone there you need to!
I've been here 4 times over the last year. 3 times I was served by the female with purple hair, name possibly Victoria. The other time served by a gentleman with short hair. Every time Victoria was in, she was VERY short and rude to myself and my fiance. The one time I was served by the gentleman, you could hear him and the cook in the back arguing about getting orders done and can clearly see he was overwhelmed and heavily stressed picking up everyone's slack but tried his hardest to be friendly and maintain positivity. I'm currently sitting in the restaurant waiting for my order, watching her be as friendly as could be with all smiles to what seems to be a regular couple. However when we walked in 6 minutes prior she did not say hello or acknowledge us as we walked directly passed her, said hello after I said hello to her. Moseyed her way to the front desk to take our order. I politely asked a question about the menu and she rolled her eyes while answering. We nicely ordered and she cut us off after every few words. Then at the end of the order said "15 minutes I'll let you know when it's done". So confusing on how she carries herself so rudely but when a different customer comes in its an entire different story. Bad customer service can definitely cause you to lose a customer. If you have the patience to deal with the rudeness, the food is good. Sometimes the macaroni salad seems to be a day or two old but the meat is always seemingly fresh.
The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and down to earth. It felt like eating at home.Since it was my first time here, I decided to order the Big Kahuna per suggestion and every meat was flavorful and cooked just right. I'll definitely be back!
Highly recommended. Delicious food, friendly staff.
My food was good but I can’t believe how unbelievably rude the cashier was. Asked to add cheese to sandwich which I thought was a 50/50 chance but she replied “nope. What else do you want” okay I get it we all have bad days but she kept on going with the attitude then at the end asked me a question about the order and said “sorry that’s what happens when you’ve been awake since 5am” which I understand completely but you don’t get to treat paying customers like that I felt so uncomfortable I took my food and left instead of dining in like I planned!
Today was my first time trying this place and I absolutely loved it! I was craving a burger and the Island Burger was more than I could have ever imagined. I also highly recommend the Spam Musubi (p.s. dipping it in the teriyaki is god tier). My partner loved their meal as well so I think it’s safe to say we’ll be coming right back very soon!(:
Tried Mama's for the first time today and was definitely not impressed. Ordered the Island Burger cooked to medium. My friend ordered the Kalua Pork Sliders and these were equally unimpressive. For the burger, the meat was charred and dry and the lettuce was spoiled with soggy black spots on it. The sliders were definitely just pulled pork on Walmart styled Hawaiin Rolls. The fries were also (seemingly) pre-packaged store bought crinkle-cut fries that were over-cooked. We ordered take-out so the service was fine but the food was very disappointing. For what was paid, the entire meal could have been reproduced at home with much higher quality. We won't be eating there again...
The pics on their website really caught my attention and really looked as though it was something desirable. After getting home and opening the box. The rice was dry, the so called pulled pork. Look like it was mechanical soft. A huge waste of $25!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
The Loco Moco was amazing! Patty cooked perfectly and the gravy was out of this world. I would buy a bucket of that gravy and smother everything in it.Best I've had in a long time. Will be getting again before my vacation is over!
