We went here with our autistic children and they were so welcoming and kind! They had the absolute best puff pastry on their turnovers that I have ever tasted. Literally perfect! Crunchy and flaky and soft all in one, just phenomenal and an absolute sensory experience.

This bakery was recommended to us during our visit to Tucson and so glad we went. It’s in a beautiful courtyard market that includes restaurants, boutiques, and a coffee shop. Pastries are delicious and not dried out at all (which I am picky about). The gal at the counter was nice, helpful made recommendations since we were unfamiliar with most Mexican pastries. We got concha’s, donuts, empanadas, and a few other things she just put I our bag for us. We also bought a bag of homemade tortillas that were still warm. All of this AND a bottled coffee drink from the fridge for only $20. Go here!

On a recent trip to Tucson my husband and I stopped at La Estrella and picked up some Mexican baked goods. They were all amazing and very inexpensive. We liked them so much we returned a few days later to get more. We had a sampling of donuts, empanadas, cinnamon rolls, and cookies. Our favorite was what they called a Mexican cannoli, or revolcada. We can't wait to return to Tucson so we can go there again!

Absolutely delicious Mexican bakery with a wide variety of desserts. We tried three different pastries and all were delicious. Beautifully made and fun colors! I was expecting to pay several dollars especially as the prices weren’t posted. Imagine my surprise when the total was around $2! Great deal and I’ll definitely return.Though the indoor space is small, there is a large outdoor seating area shared with the rest of Mercado San Agustin. The staff were very friendly.

Classic Mexican bakery. Good looking treats, nice people. Just be aware most items are made with lard which I need to avoid so it can’t be my go to spot for a pastry..

I cannot explain how much I love this place. I live in Michigan, and every time I come to visit Tucson, I always make it priority to ride my bike here for a concha. The people who work here are a friendly and the pastries are absolutely phenomenal.

It is soooo good! They have a wonderful assortment of all sorts of Mexican baked goods at an amazingly good price. The women who helped us were super nice and the quality of treats were stellar!

Amazing donuts and pastries. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and put together a nice sample of goodies for us since we were from out of town. Thanks!

Wonderful Mexican + pastry selection. Visiting out of state, bought a bag for the road. And fresh, still warm, flour tortillas for my hotel stay.(night snack LOL) We picked a few favorites to go, while enjoying coffee from Presta coffee roasters.

Best donuts in Tucson, heck probably Arizona. Fresh tortillas as well. Just good stuff here.
