Visiting from Alaska, and have high standards for fresh fish. This place was absolutely amazing! Fish was fresher than any upscale sushi restaurant, and the flavors of everything was on point! Favorite dining experience in the greater Tucson area by far!!
A google search of fast food near "X" turned up this wonderful little gem. WOW is the only word to describe the food. Super healthy, large portions, fantastic taste - what's not to like? This is a restaurant we'll be going to over and over on our trips to the city.
Super good. We had hot rice bowl with beef. Big portions for us girls. I ate it so fast I didn't have time to take photos for you guys. It was THAT good.
My wife suggested this for lunch on our way up to visit in Phoenix, Boy am I glad she did! Distinctive menu with varied choices was a wonderful change from common burger/pizza/sub places. The service was quick. Prep on the meals was rapic and well done. The portions were so generous that I ended up having left overs for both dinner and lunch the next day. We will definitely add this to our regular places to visit in or passing through Tucson.
Tofu poke bowl with edamame, ginger, seaweed, fried onion and ginger. With ginger sesame sauce. Was good. The rice was a bit dry, great proportions. I think the brown rice would have been better. I really think the portions are good for the price. Bit expensive, but good. My pig and I enjoyed it.
Tried for the first time. My order was wrong. Got Hercules pita but they didn’t put gyro meat on it, I asked for romaine and got spinach and asked for olives and that was left out. Meat could be seasoned better.
Adore this place. Employees are kind and enthusiastic and always very prompt. The food is something I crave every week. I love coming in here and no one can stop me. Only wish they delivered to Marana but that isn't their fault!
Me and my wife have been looking, searching, begging, for a good poke joint in Tucson. AND WE FOUND IT! From fresh fish, varieties that never end, to the young hip environment, Jimmy’s Pita and Poke is the place to be! We love it and keep coming back. Shout out to Colby and his team! This place is so hit or miss. When it’s good, it’s a great way to get a reasonably healthy meal on the go. Last four meals have been awful, even the rice wasn’t cooked right. Sometimes the staff is really great and will go the extra mile and other times they just seem burnt out. Always has a help wanted sign as well despite having pretty decent hours makes me think they’re not paying people. Such a shame because I really love this concept and it can be so good when done well.
This place is now my new favorite restaurant, first time today. I’m a new diabetic and the selection and flavors are amazing. And the portions of the salads are wonderful and the customer service and positive vibe and helpful service is out of this world. I will come from a casa grande any day to eat here. I will come every birthday to celebrate it here. It’s amazing here I’m so happy I found this place.
