Ina's is phenomenal. This little restaurant is a family operated business in Tucson and the food is like your Gma or Mom made it. I enjoyed the Conchita (Peruvian Popcorn) after my meal as it wasn't ready beforehand (fantastic either way). I ordered the Ají de gallina it came out pipping hot and was perfectly filling. While eating I enjoyed a Chica Morada to wet my palette. Dessert was light which was even better as it balanced everything out, I highly recommend the alfajores.
My wife and visited last night for dinner and sat on the patio. Ordered drinks (Pisco Sour) and our food at the same time, civiche to share to start and wife ordered pescado a la chorrillana (pan seared fish with salsa) and I ordered the "Guy Fiere approved" Lomo Saltado (strips of beef with sauteed tomato and onion). The drinks arrived within a few minutes, and the we sat with no further service. After about 40 minutes we called over a different server to ask where our food was and to order another round of Pisco's. She came back with our drinks and asked what we had ordered! After more than 1 hour the civiche finally arrived. It was OK, nothing spectacular. At the 1 1/2 hour mark or mains finally arrived. My wife's order was incorrect, she was given the other fish dish Pescado al la menier (fish with steamed vegetables) - she said it was delicious. My beef was tasty but very tough, certainly not the "tender Angus beef" as advertised! The original server came over to apologize, but instead of saying he screwed up he blamed it on the kitchen being backed up with "curbside orders". Strange that 2 tables near us were seated after we arrived, fed and left and we still had not received our simple starter of civiche! I will not return and would I recommend that Guy Fiere remove his endorsement for this restaurant.
I would give this restaurant 4 stars for trying to be creative with typical Peruvian fare, 0 stars for Peruvian authenticity, and 1 star for flavor. If you are looking for authentic Peruvian food, keep looking. All of the food was extremely bland and runny. The alfajores were wafer thin and crumbled inder the weight of the filling when we picked them up. The exception: the Chicha Morada was actually pretty good. The service was also friendly, which is why this review is not 1 star. Honestly, Chicha aside, this was the worst Peruvian food I've ever had, and I have had a lot. Guy Fieri approved? I think he needs to reevaluate.
Authentic peruvian cuisine.Fatima was extremely helpful and customized my catering package. Service and presentation flawless.I'm also glad that she was able to put everything together within 2 weeks notice. The waitresses were also very attentive and polite.Thank you very much. The food and service were amazing. I'm still enjoying the left overs.
Amazing place to try if you are in the area. We called ahead and got reservations since it isn't the biggest place inside. They also have outdoor seating. The server was awesome.
We were looking for a different meal that would have the authenticity of any particular culture. Looking around in Tucson, we found Inca's Peruvian Cuisine and thought we would give it a try. Wow, what a great experience. Not familiar with Peruvian food; our server Lydia was fantastic. We were not sure what to order so she began asking us questions to find out what we were looking to eat and then made suggestions from there. The suggestions were spot on and the food was so delicious. Between Lydia and great food, you can't go wrong. I really appreciated the friendliness and service that we received. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive to to there. :)
My first experience with Peruvian cuisine. It's more subtle and a fusion of different cuisines, rather than big, bold flavors. Food choices were interesting and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and quick.
We had just returned from an eventful backpacking trip starved and wet. Inca's was near our takeout. We had eaten there before but had not been back during the Covid season. Wonderful food. The chicken and rice soup, the arroz con pollo all fantastic. Our server, Lydia, was terrific and efficient. Very cordial and accommodating. Shrimp soup also a delight. Will keep coming back.
Dined outside. This little restaurant was a sweet surprise. Creative menu, good price, and friendly service made it a good find. They have live music some nights. Location is in a shopping center. Outdoor seating allows for a great view of the mountains. Didn't go inside.
Food and service made for a great experience!! We asked for recommendations and Lydia delivered.
