Is a fairly clean facility with a nice ambience to it. They make the salsa and guacamole in front of you and both were very good. The food was excellent! I had the combination fajitas and my girlfriend had the shrimp fajitas and both were very tasty. Service was fair at best as we had to wait for a server to come over to take our order and we didn't see him much and had to track him down for another beer and he took his time getting it to our table. He also took his time getting our check to us. However, I would eat here again.
The food here is quite good. The table-side fresh-made salsa is a nice touch and flavorful. We asked for "hot", and got it ?.Entrees were both tasty and served in generous portions.-1⭐ for slow service both times we've been here. Servers are pleasant when they do finally get to you.
My husband and I are here for dinner when we were in Tucson as part of our vacation. We ate at the bar which was comfortable, because the restaurant was full. The salsa that was prepared to order while we watched was the best we have ever had any place. My enchilada dinner was very good, especially the pork enchilada with green chili sauce. My husband also enjoyed his dinner of enchiladas and a chili rejenno. We had the house margaritas which were just so-so, but large.
Great and very welcoming spot. Everyone from the hostess, server, table side food prep, and musician was genuinely friendly and warm. Coming from southern US and Mexico the food is GREAT, very appetizing and from what my friends’ reaction it was a delish! The unique thing about this spot is their table side salsa making and (if ordered) fresh guacamole. MUST have Chile en Nogado, this dish is rarely seen in US restaurants and it came out just like the authentic dish in Mexico. ¡Provecho!
This is a delightful Mexican restaurant. They prepare your salsa right at your table side to your preference. Absolutely the BEST salsa I have ever had ( lived in California and Texas). Meals were abundant and delicious. There was live music PERFECT for dining - beautiful background and not overpowering. Will definitely go back. Rating A+
Wow!! Driving through Tucson and had to detour off our route to come here. So glad we did. I didn't understand why they didn't bring the salsa out right away then realized that it would be made fresh right next to us and that was so well worth the wait! Of course we had to get the fresh guacamole which was also made right next to us and was completely amazing and definitely more than what we could eat in one sitting.I got the shrimp scampi salad, which I will say I probably would not get again.. It's not that there was anything wrong with it, but it was definitely an interesting combination of food temperatures and tastes. My husband got the tres Banderas and we ended up sharing his. Yum!!Update: Here's the menu item from the Prince location: Shrimp Scampi: Shrimp sauteed in garlic butter with sliced red onions & bell peppers served over spinach & romaine lettuce with creamy chipotle dressingThis is listed with the salads but I should have read the menu better. Either way, it was much better the next day when it was all cold. :)
We loved this place. The food was amazing. The Molcajete Mariscos was one of the most amazing dishes we've ever had. The fish was the most succulent ever, the scallops perfect, the veggies charred to perfection, and that sauce! That sauce is incredible. We will definitely be coming here often when in Tucson.
The fresh salsa made to order at your table... Incredible. Probably the best salsa I've ever had at a restaurant. Our food however, was just ok. Really nothing spectacular. The carne asada burro plate was honestly disappointing compared to other places in town, and the enchiladas were pretty meh as well. Service was also a little slow, it took probably 10-15 minutes after being seated before we saw a waitress. Once we ordered, our food came out at a decent pace, however.I would come back for the salsa, because it truly was amazing and I have to give credit for that. Incredible. But I'd have to try something drastically different on the menu in hopes of finding something more enjoyable for an entree. I'm sure there's something, just would have to explore.
My wife and me decided to take a two day trip to Tucson and enjoy some good Mexican food We decided On Guadaljara Original Grill. We had no problem finding a place to park and entering the business we were struck at how impressive the walls were covered with plates, , pictures and colors. We were seated and the first thing we noticed was the lady who came to our table to see if we wished Salsa, We said yes, and HOT, since my wife is Mexican and love the hotter, the better. The lady prepared it in a large bowl and after several minutes of mixing the various items, she prepared it for us and one of the traditions is you tip the ladies who made it for you, which we did. One of the Senora came and took our order and we decided on an appertizer, which was Queso Fundido Con Chorizo. We had a bowl of corn chips which we tried the Salsa, and it was heavenly, hot, but great. My wife ordered Lobster Portobello(Lobster and Mushrooms) and I had Lobster Stuffed Salmon. The Chile was Chile Nogado and we took our time and devoured everything laid before us. It was the best Mexican preparation we could have wished for. The place was large and even with a full crowd there was still plenty of room to talk and move around without bothering anyone else. Service was exceptional and friendly, catering to our needs quickly. We both decided to go to the restrooms and for me, the place was spotless, and my wife agreed that her rrestroon was the same. With the tips for the server and the lady who made the Chile, the total bill was 79.00 and for how good the food was, it was well worth the price. If you get the chance to visit Tucson, it is about 94 miles from Phoenix to Tucson. Give it a shot and I am sure you will fall in love with the culture, the food and the hospitality.
There was a short wait for dinner. No reservations. It was well worth it. The patio is clean and festive. The table side made salsa and the guac were wonderful. Drinks were well made and ample. The meat and the servers were superior. It also has its own parking lot. If I lived in Tucson, I would eat here as often as possible.
