After years of not going to Golden Corral we decided to try and check it out again tonight and let me tell you what a mistake it was…. At the grill while they were cooking steaks, and had food out they had someone doing some detail cleaning it the vent areas up above. I told the cook that it was kind of gross that they were doing that while food is out. While I was there another man was there telling them the same thing. We decided to just avoid eating food from that area. I did see the cooks tell one of the managers, they laughed and joked about my concerns, and decided to continue to dust and degrease above all the food. During another time I walked by they wiped something that caused all this nasty stuff to fall down over the grill, the cloth was full of black grease and all the guys back there were laughing at how gross this was. I turned back around and went to the table and asked for the manager. Told him what had happened and asked him why were they doing this over the food that they are serving, that this is a health code violation. He said it was supposed to be done this morning but wasn’t and he was under the orders to have it done tonight, but was going to have them stop. I was also overcharged for drinks tonight as well. The only thing pleasant about tonight was our server Tina, she was a diamond in the rough.
$40 for two of us. You better bring an appetite. It didn't seem that they had as big a selection as last time, both in regular food and desserts but it's been a while since I was there the last time. The woman assigned to the reserved room was the same one as last time and she is very good.
Last time I went was on a Wednesday near 12:30. OMG, the number of people there was crazy, like they were giving stuff away. It appeared most of the crowd was out of town day shoppers. And not only was it packed, parents were keeping their kids in check. I hadn't been there in well over 2 or 3 years, and will likely go back only after the same time has passed. Food was somewhere between not good to not bad. No serving gloves could be found. The bathroom was surprisingly decent considering. No paper towels though. The server who was working my area was awesome and the banana bread was delicious.

Staff was awesome. Food was great(for a buffet) . Large selection, all different types of food. Waitress was attentive and positive, I forgot her name but she deserves a raise and recognition for her personality and work ethic. She works the swing shift, and we went on a Saturday ... So if her boss reads this, I'm sure you can piece it together and give her a nice bonus or some appreciation. Good Job golden corral staff, Tucson, AZ.....? ? ? ? ?!!!!! Oh yeah, the place was extremely kid friendly as well and the bathroom was clean too ?.
I am not always a fan of Golden Corral, but I happened to go there with some fam yo. I’m decently satisfied. The restaurant was clean. The food was decent. The salad was good as well as the burger bar! The chicken land deserts were fresh and tasty. Excellent job to the manager.
After waiting forever after the fire that closed this location and then the pandemic, Yesterday I was finally able to go there to have dinner.. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.. the steak was cold and so tough I thought it was show leather! All the hot dishes were cold! The shrimp was cold..the mashed potatoes..cold.. the only thing warm was the pizza but that was because it just came out of the oven! How has the health department not she t this place down saddens me! Someone is going to get sick! 1 star is still to good but Google won't allow a negative star rating!!
This particular Golden Corral is spacious and seems to offer better service than most. The food is typical to Golden Corral offering. The cleanliness of the place is good. The price is very reasonable for a buffet dining.
I haven't been to a golden corral in years. But obviously they have stepped up their game. Food was good. The Nashville Hot Chicken was amazing. Didn't just overload you with heat. Golden corral is definitely in my top ten for places to eat.
