Prompt service even with short staff ordered burgers and a French dip didn't get my au jus until quarter through eating but the sandwich was very good once I could dip it otherwise dry and lacked meat.
Why aren't there any of these in Phoenix? Needs a update remodeling something fierce but the pastrami is unbeatable

We went to Famous Sam’s to watch football one Sunday in December. It’s been years since we have gone there. Still looks the same inside - kinda old and rundown, but we always liked the food. We ordered a couple of beers and split one of their “famous” pastrami sandwiches. It was as good as I remember ! The crispy, crunchy fries were very good also. The service was good even though it was very busy. Good pub food with a wide variety on the menu is how I would describe it. Definitely a good spot for watching sports with decent food !
I was staying in tucson from out of town and I decided to stop in for a drink and some pool with a friend. Carla took great care of me and made the best dang margaritas I have ever had... and I'm a bar manager!!! She took the time to make sweet and sour from scratch and now I've been craving them everyday sine. I was going to try and different bar the next day but I just came back to sams because of her. I wasn't disappointed. I was met with the same beautiful smile and great service. Will for sure come back soon.
Karla is amazing. We never have to wait for a beer. The food is great but the service was even better. Def recommend.
Some menu item quality and quantity has changed. And for being an empty place, the server admitted to not putting in OUR food order until there were more guests (not included in our group). Waited 40min for a sandwich with fries and a Caesar salad. During lunch hours. Won't be going back. Service gets worse every time we go, never better.
Just had a really nice lunch here. Sage was quick at noticing when I finished my beer and got me another and checked on me in timely fashion throughout my time here. Always enjoy some wings and beer while reading some Manga to enjoy my Saturday and had a really relaxing time.
