Love the dogs, and peppers!!!
Nice & toasted bread comes with bacon wrapped chili which is also cooked correctly not raw like most places, nice & friendly customer service, clean tables inside yard where there plenty of parking
the best food I have tried in Tucson
Delicious! Toritos are yummy!
The burritos consist of a massive tortilla and a large quantity of meat. That's it -- no beans, no cheese, no guacamole, no pico de gallo, no sauce. Very bland. They have a condiment bar with tiny plastic cups with salsa that is bland with little to no spice. When we order a burrito we expect it to be loaded, or at least asked when we do or do not want on it.
The Sonoran Hotdogs here are amazing. They load up the Sonoran Hotdogs with everything. They even wrap the jalapeno peppers in bacon and fry them! I am so impressed with how everything came out. Driving all the way here from Phoenix to eat was well worth it and the people are nice.
Went for Lunch - just for the Sonoran Dogs they are messy but worth the napkins also try the bottled sodas - old school
So we were all hyped up about this place after reading reviews, and the James Beard award. Drove 40 minutes to get here. Well, hmm. We don’t get all the hoopla. We had the coveted Sonoran dog and a chicken taco. We expected the Sonoran dog to explode with flavor but it fizzled. Honestly, it just tasted like a hot dog on a bun with some pinto beans. The chicken taco was the plainest taco we’ve ever eaten. Literally, two street taco size corn tortillas stacked and topped with diced chicken – although some pieces looked like mystery meat. Thank goodness for the condiment bar as it was the only thing that added flavor. FYI - they don’t serve alcohol. There is plenty of seating inside and out. All appeared to be clean. We arrived at noon on a Wednesday afternoon, and there was no wait. We won’t be back.
The tacos asada were my favorite, but everything looked good. Definitely try the guacamole. It is a little pricey but we’ll worth it.
Awesome Sonoran hotdogs yum yum
