Dairy queen never fails. Always good ice cream. Service at this location is very slow. Have sat in the drive thru anywhere from 10-25min... With max 3-4cars in front of me.
I have always had excellent experiences at this DQ! Happy employees, good service, clean, and no mistakes with my orders!
Just went through the drive thru, on my own, and ordered 4 blizzards. They asked me if I needed anything else and I told them no, but I needed them to all have lids and them in a cup holder. My large had a lid but the other 3 were lidless and I wasn’t given a cup holder. I had to hold 2 lidless blizzards in my lap for the drive home and got covered in ice cream. Way to listen DQ!
DQ was my first job so it holds a special place in my heart and treat budget. But this one just seems to have a lot of challenges and resistance to special orders that you wouldn't think would be a problem. For example, you can order a s'mores shake but not a s'mores blizzard. "Can't I just have the blizzard made with the ingredients you make the shake with - minus the milk?" -"Sorry, we can't do that." Not great service, Soo close to go to the Tanque Verde location now where they're much friendlier and willing to make whatever you're craving.
They are very friendly and pretty quick, And do as I ask because I always get my dipped cone turned up in a drink cup and they always do what I ask!!
Not impressed with this location! Showed up a few minutes after 8 and the sign is blinking open. We park to go in and drive thru line was very short at the time. Turns out lobby is closed! Now the drive thru is backed up and we get back in line and wait much longer. Look, COVID shutdown is over! Having the lobby closed by 8 on an ice cream shop in the desert is just stupid! Should be open to 10 at a minimum. The icing on the cake is that these kids working there do not hand out a receipt. Just shuttle you through like cattle as quick as they can without a great customer experience. Only reason for the 3 stars is because the ice cream is yummy!
This is one of the worst dq in tucson..Beware manager Danielle said she could not help that her lobby was closed and line was to light on golf links .... not my fault my employees don't come to work was her answer.. MY ANSWER GET NEW ONES....
My first visit was five stars! The young man working there used lots of ingredients, and it was wonderful.The second visit was a 2 or 3? The woman working there hardly put any ingredients in the blizzard, and I was paying mostly for ice cream. When I requested more, she did give me a little cup with some more ingredients in it. But I shouldn't have had to ask?I'll go back and try it again, and hopefully the young man is working.
Customer service and friendliness is not on the menu here. Stood in line for 6 full minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there, except to lock the door behind the next party coming in. We weren't in a hurry but would sure think "hey we'll be right with you" would be appropriate! Not sure why the lobby closes at 8 if business is booming, but we'll go elsewhere!
This location is almost always busy. Always good. And always slow. For being the only thing you do.... it should go much quicker than it does.
