We were recommended Charro Vida from a friend, who had traveled to Tucson previously, for a place with good vegan options. It did not disappoint. The Farmed Ceviche was very good.

This place has fish meat eggs, doe's it's best to source organic foods. Corn is non-GMO.The tamale was super delicious the salad was very nice. These guys are pretty flexible on closing time. I arrived a minute before closing. Got served no rush. Almost an hour later people hanging out on the front patio in a very relaxed way. One tamale and a tiny salad for $12. That's your call

We love CharroVida. I got the jackfruit bbq sandwich with yucca fries and it was really good. My wife got the chopped salad and she loved it. If you're nervous about vegan food, don't be. Go and enjoy. Be brave! (They do have non-vegan options too, if you wuss out :) )

As others say the service is ok. Nothing special but the reason for the rating is the underwhelming food. And the cost. I paid $16 for a really small steak bowl with hardly anything other than rice and steak!! There wasn’t anything else! No beans or pico. When I asked for pico she brought it out then charged me for it!! So this tiny bowl of flavorless food was $18!!I was charged extra for something that should have come with my meal. How can they justify charging for pico de gallo? Go down the street to the mall and the street tacos place doesn’t charge for pico!As for the flavor it was greatly lacking. The food was bland and flavorless. The steak needs seasoning.I just wonder if the management ever reads these reviews?? They’d see they need to really work on their flavors. We’ve walked past this place a few times to go to teaspoon and we wondered why it always looked empty! Now we know why!

This is not what we expected. It was so much more! - very creative/ well executed menu, excellent food and great service!

Love this place! The food is excellent, lovely ambiance, nice staff. Very classy, upscale "California style" Mexican food. Very fresh and high quality. A little bit expensive, but totally worth it. Gluten Free and Vegan options aplenty.

My friend had juts gone vegan and I was staying with him. Looked do good vegan restaurant to thank him for his hospitality. This was it. I am not vegan or vegetarian…. And enjoyed the entire meal. Chips were fresh and solid. Sauces were fabulous and the dishes apportioned nicely. I had the burrito and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place

My favorite vegan place in town! Everything from the dose chips and salsas,to the hemp tamales, jackfruit taquitos, Brussel sprouts and so much more. My absolute favorite thing is the tamales. They sell the tamales 8 for like $22. I love to get that with beans and rice on the side and have tamales at home for a few days. If you haven't been here I highly suggest you visit!!

The service was fine, ambiance had a chic vibe, but the food (the reason we came to said restaurant) was underwhelming in almost every way. I got a bowl with cauliflower al pastor, rice blend, and beans. The cauliflower was great, but the beans were not properly cooked (slightly hard) and all of this together was incredibly dry and under salted. I had to ask for sauce a couple of times. My husband got the taco trio, one of grass fed beef and the other of cauliflower. The beef was not salted. And the whole meal was lacking in sauce. The tortillas were also not homemade. Said trio is also priced per taco. Also each taco is $5. For a street taco. My husband thought that it was per trio, and we were, in our opinion madly overpriced for not a lot of food. I would not recommend coming to this restaurant as the food was not up to our standards. It was a mediocre meal at best.

We had high hopes for this restaurant and really wanted it to be great. Unfortunately we had too any problems to overlook. One of our four meals was so over cooked and dried out it was inedible. The host came to the table and said it would be removed from the bill. We asked 3 times for more of a condiment and when it finally came we were done with our meal. The bill never came. I finally hailed the host, gave him my credit card and asked him to run our ticket. He returned with our card after a long wait, and apologized that they charged someone else's meal on my card, corrected it, and "hopefully" it won't show on our card. The receipt I signed didn't show if I had been credited for the one entree or not but seemed a bit high. At that point all we wanted to do was get out of there. We left feeling disappointed and ripped off.
