This restaurant is a family owned business. Top notch authentic Italian food. Of course I personally love to sit up at the bar - you can still order from the full menu up there. My favorite dishes to get are the Cesar salad, lasagna bologneise and this steak dish that has a delicious gorgonzola sauce! They also make different soups throughout the week. I literally drive across town to come eat here. It's that good!
We took my son in law here for his birthday. My daughter enjoyed some seafood pasta. She loved it. I had the lasagna and took a spaghetti and meatballs home. Lasagna was ok. Nothing to brag about, nothing I would go back for! The sauce was rather bland. The texture was fluffy inside the soggy pasta. The spaghetti and meatballs was awful! Those were the worst meatballs I have ever had! Good thing I was home because I couldn't control the gag reflex. My husband and son in law had chicken parmesan. They said it was bland as well. I could not recommend this place to anyone!
Such delicious, authentic Italian food. Gnocchi and bolognese are impeccable. Wife's veal was wonderful. Server was so attentive and she took good care of us through out the night. Wonderful experience dining. 10/10!
Heard good things.... thought we would give it a try..... never again!!Ordered calamari for starter.... stone cold and dried out. Could not eat. Entrees disappointing at best. Garlic and oil....no creamy white sauce as I expected.Service was substandard for a 'good' restaurant.Closed and cleaned kitchen/grills before guests had left creating quite the burning smell.Shocked at bartender not knowing a simple finishing coffee as Monte Cristo!Very disappointing experience....will not recommend
Food was ok, but nothing to brag about, server was pleasant, but didn’t know anything about the menu. We asked for a small plate of spaghetti for my niece’s 2 year old, but didn’t get told until after she was served, that they don’t have kid portions, so we were charged $18 for a child who only ate a couple of bites. They don’t even offer any bread like most Italian restaurant do. There wasn’t anyone else at the restaurant, but she told us cuz it was in between the lunch and dinner “rush”, likely story, considering the entire time we were there no one came, that should have been an indication not to eat there. Anyway, we wanted to try it, so now we can say been there done that, but would we ever return, highly unlikely.
We go to Caffe Torino in Oro Valley often because it is our favorite Italian restaurant. It has a warm inviting atmosphere. My only complaint is that the service can be slow probably due to staffing shortages. The servers are friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. The menu is varied with a number of unique dishes. My favorite is Pollo Tallegio. We have never been to the Foothills location where they have live music. We live in Oracle so that's a bit two far. The owner's daughters work at both locations and they are both very friendly and charming.
Out of town visit…we were looking forward to a lovely Italian meal. Been here for close to two hours and are leaving. We received our bottle of wine (after begging) an hour in. Asked if they had started our meal, and they hadn’t…so we’re paying for the wine and leaving!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING! Very short on staff. Head chef is supposedly in back and the two front staff are helping as line cooks!! This would be ok IF we were told they were short staffed when we walked in. Clincher: at least two (walk in) take out orders received their orders even tho they came in after us!
I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. The food was served rotten, cold, and the service was terrible. When we confronted the owner she was unapologetic and rude. The owner said we just didn’t understand the food which is funny since we’re full blooded Italians. Here’s a step by step: we arrive with a reservation at 1pm and they don’t seat until 1:20. We can hear the chef swearing in the kitchen behind us. The service was slow. We had two diabetics in our party and asked for Diet Coke and they brought us regular coke (very dangerous). Half the menu wasn’t available. No silver wear until after the food was served. The food was half the portions than usual for the same price. All of the dishes that were supposed to be hot were cold. Service was atrocious. One of the salads was served with rotten lettuce. Little to no dressing on all of the salads. Only one of the terrible dishes was taken off the ticket where I would argue they all should have been.I don’t write reviews, but this was too bad not to write about. My family is Italian and used to love this restaurant as we have been going here for years, but regrettably this was our last time. Kitchen nightmares would have been very apt for this restaurant. #GordonRamsayComeHelp

We both got the Chicken Parmesan and thought it was good enough to come back in the future when they aren't as short staffed like they were this past Sunday. Would have been nice to have a basket of bread to snack on during our long wait...
