Good service. Food and drink selection is almost overwhelming. But a great place for family style meals.Brisket and pork belly are awesome
Tons of bourbon and beer for you to enjoy! I really liked this place. The staff was super friendly and the food was good. I recommend the mac & cheese. Very tasty. I also had the best sundae I've ever eaten and I almost passed on it. I didn't think the ingredients - butter pecan ice cream, bacon, pork rinds, cherries and walnuts - went together, but I was very wrong. It was so good that I ordered one to go and went back the next day to get another one.
It was the worst Father’s Day dinner I’ve ever experienced. They were out of everything, the managers never helped the servers and were non existent. We didn’t find out we could not get our food and the kitchen was closed until 35 minutes after we placed our order. The manager never addressed our party and We were left with no food and too late to go anywhere else. THE WORST FATHERS DAY EXPERIENCE I’ve ever had. If not for my family….the whole day would have been ruined. Completely disappointed.
Absolutely horrible- go somewhere else, you’ll thank me. Worst experience i’ve ever had. Many many better places than this Never going back
Great presentation! Very clean place and very nice set up. Very friendly staff as well. Big tables here can accommodate large groups for sure! The burger looks great but was not a fan. I really don't like pink so when it came out with pink I wasn't a fan. I still payed for the burger and tipped of course. Because I can appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into making the food. I just really want the burger with no pink; and if you pay money you have the right to have the food as you'd like. My s/o was satisfied with the ribs but would prefer chili's we both loved the fries, mac and cheese, and mash potatoes! And don't get me wrong we will be back!
This was our first visit to Brother John's, which was recommended by a friend. We were greeted and seated right away, but things went downhill from there. It took quite awhile to get waited on, even though they didn't seem to be very busy (mid-afternoon). Once we did get waited on, our waitress took our order via memory without writing anything down (after also waiting on a table who came in after us). Because of this, we gave her our instructions very clearly and repeated them back (which she did as well). Our drinks were slow in coming, and one of them was wrong (and took even longer to get rectified). When our meal came, my salad was covered with bleu cheese which I had said specifically to leave off (they made me a new one, but brought more b. cheese on the side). I ordered the brisket, which was referred to as "fatty" brisket, and it was indeed fatty probably 50:50 ratio to meat)! My friend ordered a half chicken and he received a quarter (they brought him another one). Our waitress was nice, but overall things just seemed "disconnected". It's a really relaxing atmosphere with a great bar area, but I think I'll try somewhere else when in the area.
My daughter and boyfriend took us here after their volleyball game for a late dinner, they had been there before for snacks and beer, it is a nice place. We arrived at 9:20 pm, they said their kitchen was open until 10:00 pm. The hostess seated us, but then no one came for a drink or food order. The place was not busy, it was a week night, and there were workers walking around, but no one even looked at us. Finally, my daughters boyfriend went to talk to someone and they finally sent a young man to take our order. He was not knowledgeable or very friendly. We gave him our beer and food order. It took a while to get the beer, which was good! When the food came out it was all lukewarm. My husband and I ordered the “Hot Mess Nachos” it looked like slop thrown onto tortilla chips, and tasted the same. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu or on-line. My daughters Mac & Cheese was dry and not very good. Her boyfriend had a pulled pork sandwich, which was dry and not very tasty. If an establishment cannot serve good food up until the time of the kitchen closer, then they should not. This may not be “normal” for this establishment, but we eat out quite a bit and travel a lot and I cannot remember ever having been to a place where we were ignored, and the food was so completely unappealing. We also like to be generous tippers especially since Covid and knowing a lot of young people are going to school and working. Our next trip to Tucson to visit our daughter, we will not be returning to eat at this restaurant.
Decent Brisket they only serve point or what they call "fatty brisket", I assume because it's cheaper (but charge flat prices), the brisket mac was ???? chased it all down with a Unicorn Blood or Blood of a Unicorn... I can't remember delicious beer though. On the night I went happened to be a Mariachi contest or something had no idea, so it was crazy busy and loud not sure if that's the norm. Would try again ??
Arrived at 9:20 PM after playing sports. We were seated fairly fast, but a waiter never came over until one of us went and spoke to the hostess. Almost 10 min later a waiter finally took our drink and food order. There were only a couple of other diners there, and some people at the bar. Workers were walking around, basically we were ignored, we almost left, and should have. The food was awful, Luke warm, and not good at all. The Hot Mess Nachos, looked nothing like online. Very little meat, and that chewed more like wads of fat.The other members in our party did not have a favorable tasting sandwich or Mac & Cheese. The beer was good, only reason for one star. Very cool looking place! But definitely need to take better care of customers, and serve better food.
If you like smoked type of meat, this is a great place to get it. Their pulled pork is great. The restaurant is spacious and has outdoor patio, so it is good for company's casual gathering. The restaurant seems to know how to handle big crowd too. The restaurant's ambience is lively and it is made merrier with the live music events at night.
