We were looking for a greasy spoon and found this place by chance at about noon on a Tuesday. It was busy but not crowded. The food and the service were amazing! It has an old diner feel with a service counter and very reasonably priced! I can’t say enough good things about this place except to add that our server, Gray, was perfectly delightful, courteous, and attentive. I highly recommend the Bread and Butter cafe!
Grabbed some great biscuits and gravy in Tucson Arizona. Some of the social sites mentioned Bread and Butter café. Hearty portion, fresh biscuits, I ordered a side of sausage patties to just add a little bit more to the mix. Overall a good meal. I also ordered a piece of homemade chocolate pie because they had homemade chocolate pie. It was excellent. Service was a five star. And the bathrooms were spotless.
Good, simple breakfast place with the regular staples of the trade. Hospitable, will refill your coffee cup as often as you want, and do their best to get out of your way and let you enjoy your meal. I had a western omelette with an addition of green Chile, tasty and not greasy. The home-made fries were good and the sourdough bread fresh. Coffee was not strong but not watery either. I would give a 4 star to the breakfast food, 5 star to the service, 5 star on cleanliness, and 5 star for hospitality. Mother Hubbard was of the same type, Happy Rooster very similar, Joe’s Pancake House has a bit more choice on the menu… Bread and Butter definitely is at par with other good breakfast places. Recommended!
Delicious food. A little on the bland side with certain items. Though they seem to cater to an older audience so that might be why. They have a HUGE menu full of personal customization. Happened by chance upon this local breakfast place. Everything was great! Fast excellent service, super friendly. Seems like a locals favorite. Homemade cinnamon rolls, bread and pie daily. Very reasonable prices!
Only had to wait about 15 min to get seated.Very friendly and efficient staff. Food was excellent, as always. I had the veggie omelet with home fries. This is my favorite breakfast restaurant!
Marvelous Traditional diner. Pretty much perfect food.Pro tip: if you have more than 2 adults in your party, wait for a booth. The tables are just a tad bit small..
Great breakfast place. Had a good lunch menu also. The cinnamon roll is a must. My waitress Terry suggested it over the cranberry muffin. Glad she did.
My server, Julie, was very pleasant and warm. She offered prompt and courteous food and service. I had the ground round with brown gravy with grilled mushrooms and onions, along side of mashed potatoes (scratch), green beans and a dinner roll. I finished off my delicious meal with a slice of warmed up cherry pie!.… I definitely recommend Bread and Butter for breakfast and lunch, it's worth the wait!
Had a good breakfast. Service was great! Disappointed in the size of the ham served. In other restaurants outside of Arizona. When you order a Mexican breakfast. Rice and beans are served with your meal. You don't get charged for the other.
