Super excited to try this spot and it did not disappoint. Salsa flight was varied, unique and delicious (and you can buy salsa to take home!), but the tacos were our focus. Favorites at the table were The Rajas (vegetarian friendly), as well as the fish and shrimp options. Inside and outside seating, with fans on outside. Prices were really reasonable, and service was quick and friendly
4.5 all the way baby!! Fresh made tortilla chips, yum! Love the ala cart option. Mix and match. Tried Dan Gibson, tender roasted beef, soooo delish! The grilled lemon butter shrimp, succulent, shrimp was cooked perfectly. Also tried out the fried white fish, 2 bites in, stuffed. Fish was moist, batter crunchy. Overall the three I tried were perfectly splendid. The food was 5 star, atmosphere, -.5. A must to try for delicious tacos in Tucson!
Do yourself a favor and get the salsa flight! Absolutely fantastic experience and fun to try all the new flavors. The chips are so delicious just on their own too! The elote is roasted and seasoned perfectly and there was not one taco that I did not love. Everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The flavor combinations were out of this world.
Delicious tacos! We had an array of salsas to start. Very inventive flavors and lots of fun. The octopus was delicious. Sadly, we only had room for two tacos each. Very flavorful. Service was great!
Maria Mazon Ever since we saw Maria compete on Top Chef, we have been wanting to go try her food at Boca Tacos on Fourth Avenue. Today, we took a little lunch date and had the chance to check it out. Our server was tremendously helpful at helping us select from the many awesome offerings on the menu. After enjoying our flight of homemade salsas and chips, as well as a selection of their most popular tacos, John asked if Maria was ever in the restaurant. The next thing you know, the server brought her out to talk with us. What a warm and welcoming and genuine person! (Can we say Celebrity Chef crush??) Maria represents Tucson food and hospitality at the highest level! Besides the delicious food and service, take some time to enjoy the kitchen gardens out on on the patio, as well as the shops attached. We were excited to take home some freshly made tortillas sold to us by none other than Maria's son! Thank you, Maria and staff, for being such amazing ambassadors for our hometown. Five stars all around for food quality, service, and affordability!
This was recommended to us by a hotel employee and was delicious! We ordered the salsa flight and homemade chips, and it was such a great starter - all the salsas were unique and delicious. Dinner was steak tacos, fish tacos and chicken tacos and we ate every bite. We would definitely return if we had more time! We sat on the patio which was lovely!
I was so disappointed with the food. I had been there 4 years ago and despite it being expensive, the food was good. This time around we paid $60 for 5 tacos and 2 drinks. The food was served COLD. The corn tortillas weren't even warmed up, the toppings in the tacos were cold, and the salsas were a disappointment. They had no spice whatsoever! The bartender was nice, and despite being super busy, was attentive. Ill be going elsewhere for tacos and I suggest you do the same. Not worth your time, money, or palate
Sad to say you might be disappointed. Our service was horrible, long wait time for a server. The food was cold my carne asada tacos fell apart the meat was dry and had a lot of fat, 2 bites and I was grossed out, I got food on my way home because I couldn't stomach my dinner. We had a party reservation for 10-15 coworkers. They wouldn't do separate checks and a max of 3 cards for payment. They added an automatic gratuity of $50 but it wasn't deserved. We planned this dinner 3 weeks before because we work from home and some coworkers were new , so this was to get to know them as well as our get away from home computers. The Owner was also on Top-Chef. Sorry Boca Tacos but you need improvement.
We stopped for lunch while enjoying the eclectic shopping and atmosphere of 4th street. The tacos we had were amazing! The service was outstanding and I would definitely go back next time we are in the area! The tacos we had were fresh and incredible!! The drinks were excellent as well. Highly recommend!
Had a wonderful meal with Tacos beans rice and their famous Boca bites! Meet with Maria the owner and Chef and cannot say enough good about her restaurant!! A must stop for anyone visiting Tucson!! We’re from Oregon and we’re told by a friend to stop here on our trip so glad we did!
