Nothing vegan with protein. I hope they add at least one hearty vegan option! I saw they have a sandwich with just veggies and bread but that’s not really a meal.. they could add hummus or something like Beyond Bread does.
My sandwich had one little slice of turkey on it. Now that the price is double + you put no meat on the sandwich. What's up with that?
It's been a while since I've had Baggins, so we ordered online and did a pickup. I was not really surprised about price increases as we've seen them everywhere; restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We had been going to Jason's as it was in a more convenient location...until the quality and quantity of their food took a dive. The sandwiches we got at Baggins were so amazing. The ingredients were all fresh, and the sandwiches were huge; very generous portions of all ingredients. We ordered the Club sandwich and the BLT and will be back soon to try others. They even got the special instructions correct (toasted, no tomatoes, etc) and our food was ready, as scheduled, on a busy Friday evening. This is now our go-to deli/sandwich shop. So delicious. I order pretty regularly from Baggins but lately it's gone downhill. I ordered a veggie sandwich earlier this week with no cream cheese, yes to mayo. It was so dry and barely had mayo on it. I had to add my own Today I ordered the same sandwich but with extra mayo, hoping for just a tad more than the first one. It came, and I kid you not, dripping mayo. It wad absolutely disgusting and messy. It seems they lack common sense. I ate one half, it was disgusting, and threw the rest away. You lost me today Baggins!EDIT: I contacted Baggins and they marked my email as Spam!
Food is consistently fresh and tasty. The sandwich combinations are extremely well put together. Service is pleasant and prompt.
The teenage cashier got mad at me. The lady in front of me asked for a different cup, it was ripped jaggedly at the top. It was in the shape of a bite. I said it looks like someone took a bite out of it. When he was done was the person in front of me, he walked away from me and went into the back. It was strange for him to mumble something which was non understandable and leave his post with a line behind me. He was the only cashier. When he came back there was no apology, or thank you for waiting. He just starred at me waiting for me to speak. I thought it was odd. No sense of humor just straight faced. I thought it was funny there was a bite taken out of the paper cup. He wasn't amused when I laughed, he was just expressionless straight faced. I ordered a grinder without mayo. I asked for the Italian dressing it comes with. When I got my sandwich both sides of it was covered in mayonaise. I loathe mayonaise. ?It was needless to say I was sickened and disappointed. I couldn't eat the bread, it was smothered in mayo. There was residual on the meat. I wiped the meat off with my napkin. I ate the meat, and cheese alone. When someone intentionly messes with my sandwich, I don't wish to complain and have it come back a second time in a state worse than the first. I worked in the restaurant business when I was young and am aware of all kinds of digusting pranks dusgruntled workers played on unsuspecting patrons. Sad! Now I don't want to go back to that Baggins ever again. I was intentional with my order, the cashier heard and repeated it back to me. I know as I was intential so were they, so they lost a customer. I was at the Speedway store. I may try a different location again someday, if I get the nerve to go through the don't complain and laugh at our chewed cups attitude, screw you for pointing out the truth and having humor. What they should have done is admit their error and cheerfully serve their customers. Anyone with a sense of humor would have seen the chewed cup and laughed as well. Sad day at Baggins on Speedway. ?
The rudest lady ever at counter and she lied to me. Very disrespectful. I have never been treated this way before. I have been going there every week for a few years. You just lost a loyal customer. Plus she told me she was the store manger then she back tracked and said she could have the manger call me when she’s in.
While waiting for our meal, at the Baggins on Kolb and Speedway, the manager asked one of the staff to grab a garbage bag. Said staff brought manager the now open plastic garbage bag and the manager opened a couple bags of lettuce and dumped them in the bag. He then sat the full bag of lettuce onto the dirty floor. Then picked up and shook the bag of lettuce into the container.The use of plastic trash bags for food is not recommended because they are not food-grade plastic and chemicals from them may be absorbed into the food.Also, setting the bag onto the dirty floor and shaking the dirty bag into a container isn't sanitary either. Everything that was on the floor where they set the bag would have been going into container as well.I didn't say anything to the manager but won't go back either.
Twenty-six dollars for two dry wonder bread sandwiches, no sauce, poor service - the employees working there literally care less.
Super great food very clean average pricing I highly recommend them.
