This place is a diamond in the rough. If you haven't been here you should try it. I love the yaqi tacos and the papanchas are very good too. Today I changed it up and ordered the Mexican pizza & it was very very good. Kids were debating over who got my scraps. The flan is amazing here too. I've been at least 5 times and plan to keep frequenting every couple of months.
Had a delivery to my hotel and it was amazing. I will say if you order the birria, ask for a fork to pull it out the cup. This was my first sonoran hot dog and it was amazing.
The chicken tacos are the best. So good. My only complaint is the older lady always messes up orders and always forgets my drink. I don't think she pays much attention. She forgot my drink again today and I asked for corn tortillas but I was given flour. The asada is pretty greasy. I only get the chicken tacos.
Our first time eating here. The carne asada meal was terrible. A large piece of tough meat, like shoe leather. I was expecting it to be cut thin. Prices not reasonable. 3 tiny street tacos for $10. No beans or rice. Won’t eat there again.
This was my first venture into the world of Tucson’s south side Mexican food options. I now need to make many more trips since this restaurant was delicious! The staff were friendly and the prices were fair. When we were there, the bathrooms were out of order and we caught a whiff of strong cleaning chemicals coming in the door. However, I’ll assume that was a one off. I didn’t get any sense the restaurant was otherwise unclean.I ordered a Yaqui taco and a caramelo. The Yaqui taco is served over tortillas and a green Chile. Both were excellent. They have a salsa/toppings bar with tons of variety and many bottled salsas to try.
Real delicious Mexican food, as a foreigners we’ve stoped here looking for Mexican flavours and nailed it. Also very fast and affordable, the servers were very nice. I’ve ordered the nachos and a taco while my partner ordered the birria soup
I absolutely love this spot super fast and the food is so fulfilling- nice staff- clean facility and I just had to leave a good review thank you guys for always taking good care of me and my family when we come here to eat!!!!
Great spot for quick and awesome burrito! Their carne asada is the way to go and their salsa/pickled veggie bar is great! The seating and inside space is ok, it's not bad just not that comfortable feeling. Food is excellent though!
Asked for birria on my quesadilla - no problem and it was delicious! My wife got the papancha (baked potato with carne asada, carnitas, cheese, bacon & mushrooms - wow!) which was also delicious! Super friendly staff! Opposite side of town for us but we will be back soon.
