Cute place. Great service. Be aware if the menu says spicy, it's spicy. Very good food, though I'm going to have to try some less spicy options in the future.

Staff is friendly however below par food. Doesn't live up to the brands name. Since I have tried multiple udupi restaurant's in USA (Raleigh & Pittsburgh), I would say this can be rated at 2.5 stars. We had a lunch buffet on a Saturday. Most of the rice items were dry due to reheating I guess, the rasam was way too tangy. The vegetable place tasted good but was dry and grain. There is a lot of improvement needed in terms of cleanliness in the restaurant. Hope the management works on these issues to maintain the brand!

Very tasty dosas freshly prepared and delivered with two types of Chutneys ( Coconut and Tomato spice) and sambhar! Regular Rava Dosa was crispy and the special rava masala was spicy! Ghee Masala Dosa was really awesome and we loved it so much. Will go back soon to dine in and taste other South Indian dishes. Wish they add a lighted name board at the front. We had difficulty locating the restaurant and hope they fix it soon. Ambience in side the restaurant was really good and seating arrangements were clean and tidy. Loved the decorations inside. Customer service was good!

I visited this place few times now . They LACK CONSISTENCY. sometime the Tomato chutney and Sambhar are extremely spicy , some time they are perfect . Some time quantity of curry is too little and some time it is fine. Also it is too spicy as well. Some time the gravy for paneer is very watery , some time it is fine .....They do not act on customer feedback to improve quality ..... Toilets are not clean as well.

I was visiting Scottsdale for a week from Denver, CO. I went to Udupi restaurant twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. I got Poori, paneer butter masala and rice-sambar. All of them were very tasty. For lunch I tried their buffet. It was one of the best Indian buffets I have had in US.Even the Uber driver who drove me to the restaurant gave me good reviews, he said “ you’re in a for treat here for sure” ? which turned it to be true. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

I feel this place is definitely hit and miss to an extent. I've been in when it was dead and when it was busy. I think yes some people will expect an appetizer before a meal but I also think sharing food is not something that some people get. Is it authentic? I'm not of Indian decent I do not know. I do know what I like and this has it for me. They were consistent when busy and slow and they do a LOT of take out. I feel this restaurant has good intentions and I feel you get great prices for the food. I'd recommend.. but if you're a snoot I'd leave them alone. Spare them your never 5 star ever review.

Dined in yesterday , Walking in found the floors to be sticky, given a glass of water with lipstick still visible , found a roach walking on the pony wall behind my table (yuck), bathrooms are nasty and stinky , lots of stored items in plain view and half hidden with dirty maroon curtains. Ambience is the worst for the money that you spend over there. 1 star is for the food which tasted good. The entire restaurant needs a complete detailed clean up and sanitized.

Excellent service even when it was crowded. The food was excellent. I had butter masala dosa which was great and all my friends liked their respective ordersEverything was correctly priced and not expensive.Service was great too.Saw a continues steady flow of family customers coming in. This place is ideal for family dinner out.Only improvement they can do is light up the name board so that more people are aware of the shops presence.

Let me start by saying I'm sorry for the bad picture. We got our food to go and ate it at a park. Let me finish by saying WOW WOW WOW WOW. The flavors packed in this meal (I got the "Gobi Manchurian") were out of this world.I'm not vegan or vegetarian but my brother is. We visited here because he's back in town and when he lived in Tempe he swore this place was the best. I was skeptical. I don't usually do foods without some sort of meat. But I'm going to be honest with you... I'll dream about this meal. The cauliflower stuff has a super complex flavor in a wonderful way. Each bite was a journey and I'm in love with the way the cauliflower was cooked. It has the texture of what I'd describe almost as a fried treat. It's hard to explain. You just need to try it. It's wow.I'm lying in bed right now, writing this review, just wishing I could have more. Bravo!

I liked UDUPI Indian Cuisine- There are many options on the menu, I appreciated that most things on menu are vegan. The presentation is simplistic but the food is filling and comforting.
