Honestly today was my first time there. I ordered the spicy teriyaki chicken and when I received it all the chicken was very dry as in over cooked and charred. Every bite tasted burnt chicken. The sauce was good on the rice but was very unimpressed with the meal.
I understand we are still going through COVID times and recovery is still in process. I have ordered Large Tonkotsu Ramen with extra Chasu.What I have received was utterly disappointing. Portion was close to medium side. My extra orders didn’t came out. For this meal I have spent $14, which I could go to different and better ramen shop.
2 lunch orders of teriyaki chicken/steak and large order of cal rolls for my daughter. I’ve travelled a lot and - even tho reasonably priced the food was NOT good. The rolls were blah- fake wasabi with zero kick. The teriyaki had tons of sauce but still managed to have zero flavor. I went here because I read mixed reviews of the chain place and was very disappointed. Even the “ginger”(?) salad dressing has little to no flavor- it was basically oil and vinegar(?).
On the basis that-drspite the fact that Tempe is an internationally known university location and a 'suburb' of a rapidly-growing US metropolis- there aren't many Japanese supermarkets about. Does this have to do with the negative-growth nation of note?Probably.
Been twice food is good and served with a smile. Good prices and options. Will definitely go back
Love the service, the food and the prices! This is definitely a great spot to have lunch I have been coming here for years and stop by avg. 3 times a week!
I eat here 5 days a week. The food is phenomenal! The back of house staff has food ready in minutes and the front counter is manned by the nicest people I have ever met!
Fresh food and the staff are great. My new fav lunch spot in Tempe.
Chicken was so very dry rice was crunchy old I’m very disappointed in this shop crab puffs were soggy
This place is the best! Amazing lunch specials, flavor is always ?!! Owners are so friendly!! Everyone I bring here, keeps coming back!! I wish they were open on the weekends so I can share with more people after work.
