Fresh made noodles really do show in the ramen dishes here. This is seriously a legit ramen shop and so far all the dishes I have tried have been tasty. ( Seafood, miso, tengutsu, spicy . Also curry is really good as well.
If you like ramen this place is a must visit. Fresh made ramen noodles, perfect soft boiled eggs, and the meat is so flavorful. It doesn't get much better than this. I can not stress enough how amazing this place is, you have to try it for yourself.
Had a good experience at this place. The Ramen was delicious. The dish in the picture had extra pork. The ramen has a soft but not too soft to where it broke apart and the pork has some good flavor. Recommend and will return when I am in the area.
This is my favorite place for miso ramen for a few years. The food is great. The staff are professional. It's usually busy here and the wait is not too long if you have to wait. I often order spicy miso ramen, grilled dumbling and or octopus balls. They made mistakes with my to-go orders a couple times recently but those are minor and forgivable. My photo is from 2019 but the food is basically the same now. I have been ordering to go recently.
We had a really great meal at Tampopo. The ramen was one of the better spots I’ve been to. They make their own noodles and they are delicious. The broths weren’t as salty as many shops which I appreciate. The umami was wonderful but not overpowering. I would definitely go back.
They told me they had vegetarian versions of the ramen, but nowhere on the menu did they mention they’d charge a dollar for the brothIn addition to the extra broth charge, they added on 3 just for 2 measly slices of tofu, no bigger than 2x2 each. The food was good, but I just feel robbed, especially as vegetables are significantly cheaper than pork belly! I, at the very least, should have been informed of how much the up-charge would be before they added it on.
This was our first time visiting and it was amazing ? food is really good we ordered the Miso ramen and curry rice with cucumber in sesame oil as the appetizer. Everything was really delicious and our waiter was awesome. Restaurant and restrooms were Clean
Went to the restaurant a little after 12 pm, able to seat right away, but the place is small, tables are small, space is tight and the place filled up fast. Be ready to sit next to strangers when it's busy. Staff friendly.Enjoyed the appetizers. Takoyaki (grilled octopus stuffed ball) and kabuki (braised pork belly). These were really good.Ramen, not too bad. I had Tonkoysu ramen, the dish didnt really have much flavor, which I am okay with, they have a small plate of condiments you can add to you ramen/broth to have the flavor you want. A red spice, soy sauce, sesame seed, and some oil. End up enjoying my ramen dish quite a bit after I doctored it up. The "roasted pork slice" they add to the soup I had to take out. I got less roast taste and more burnt taste, so I put it off to the side. I took the braised pork appetizer, and ripping it apart to add into my soup, turned out really good.My sister got the Miso ramen, hers had a more mild sweet flavor. It was pretty good, she felt the same about the slice of pork, she removed it and added kakuni to her bowl as well.My son had the curry ramen, a soupless ramen dish, it smelled really good, but my son only partially enjoyed it.Overall, not too bad, if I could do 3.5 stars, I would aim more for that rating, but the were better than 3, so settle with 4. But worth the experience at least once. My sis and I may go back a second time to give it another try with their rice dishes.
Best ramen in Tempe, busy little hole in the wall. I love the chopped pork over rice, my favorite ramen is the Tonkatsu and I like it hot! Ultra spicy is another favorite. They make their noodles in house! Yum!They close from 3:00 to 5:00.
Small location and I mention it bc it can fill up fast. If you do have to wait, it's worth it! The food is amazing! We enjoyed everything we tried!
