This place has awesome Ice Cream! Nice store with a very friendly person working behind the counter. The only bad thing I could possibly say about the place would be that the spoon was a little flimsy... and really.. that's nothing. Go get some great ice cream here. You will not regret it.
Pricey and not special. It's was $5 for a small bowl with one scoop of ice cream. Our total was over $32 for 4 of us. I had strawberry and was nearly flavorless. The shop layout is not great, with others waiting you can't see flavor selections .
Here’s some easy word math! Ice Cream + High Temperatures = Nice to Have. While this equation is true, Sparky’s Old Town Creamery Ice Cream + High Temperatures = Must Have Amazing Goodness!!! When walking Mill Avenue, this is a place you must stop at! The flavors are always changing giving you new options to enjoy every time you visit. I do like to try new flavors from time-to-time but I just love the classic taste of vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone. It may sound boring, but Sparky’s Old Time Creamery’s vanilla is anything but boring…it is amazing!
Don’t waste your time or money with the Hawaiian shaved ice here. They give you a cup full of ice with a drop of syrup. When I took it back to ask for a little more, I got two more drops. Definitely NOT WORTH IT. Stick to the ice cream if you choose to come…
We love this place but I'm going to admit that I was pretty bummed out on our last visit. We saw a very young short girl with a checkered hat on touching the already dipped cones and bowls with her bare hands with out gloves on. Not touching the paper cups they sit on but the actual cones. I'm assuming she can not wear gloves as she had super long 1.5-2 inch nails. That being said I was more disgusted when she carried a couple plain cones away to go to the chocolate dipping station and she rubbed her face/nose and carried on with what she was doing ... the other two coworkers that served our icecream both had gloves on.
We got some ice cream which was very tasty. They will allow you sample all the flavors. They will mix in or top you ice cream with one topping included in the price. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. We cannot wait to return.
Wide variety of ice cream flavors, visiting our of state but would love to give each flavor a try, hoenstly. I haven't had ice cream this great Ina long while, apart form my usual spot in San Diego, CA. If I am ever visiting in AZ again I'll be sure to stop here for sure.
Amazing ice cream, must try while visiting. I had a s’mores waffle cone and a pub fantasy as a milkshake and both so freaking good.
My banana split was fire! I had it delivered through Door Dash and somehow it still arrived in perfect condition.
They make their ice cream on site at Sparky's. Great flavors and mix ins. They have frozen treats for dogs available (our dog was excited!). Definitely a dog friendly place. I definitely recommend stopping here for some good ice cream.
