The hotel probably needs an update, but it was good for us. The best thing was they were very accommodating on our flight situation. I really appreciate when a business is willing to help out. Thank you! I would definitely consider this hotel if I'm in the Phoenix area again.
The Good: Great layout and good central location make this a good choice I come back to often. I love having a balcony overlooking the pool and fire pit. The exercise room is adequate, and I've never felt it to be overcrowded. Also, the staff has been great for all my interactions. The Bad: The interior of the hotel seems a bit dated. Cleanliness is on par with what I've come to expect from the area, which isn't terrible, but certainly isn't high praise either....
Me and my friends get together once a month here for a one day crafty retreat. Also a multiple day event a few times a year.Staff is WONDERFUL! the food is so good. That shrimp last time was amazing. And I love love love the kitchen staff!!! We all do! About 15-30 people :)Anyhow, thanks for being awesome!
I cannot attest to staying here, but I dealt with the front desk staff for long term parking when I flew out of Phoenix and they were super nice and welcoming! The lobby was beautiful, big dining area. Without even having a reservation they treated me so kindly and welcomed by business for the long term parking, $6 a day, no reservation needed and free shuttle to the airport. You can't beat it! I would definitely book with them if I'm in Phoenix overnight!
Overall this restaurant was adequate. The rooms were clean but outside of the rooms looked like it could use a remodel. The restaurant inside the hotel had a small menu, but the street tacos were tasty, and the adult beverage I had was nice. I would give this hotel a solid three stars, but I was disappointed that it didn't have public use of a washer and dryer. They told me I could go to a hotel next door to do my laundry. Who wants to do that? The hot tub was nice, though.
Rooms and pool are great, but the hotel as a whole is definitely a bit dated. The shower is the one part that could use an upgrade in the rooms, and the hallways definitely feel like they're from the 90s.Staff was great and willing to help, the restaurant on the ground floor looked clean and inviting.
Good not great. Dated rooms and hallways. Staff was friendly, room was clean. I only stayed one night after flying in and it checked all my boxes. No fans in the bathroom which can be a problem if you're with a couple other of guys. Wifi was weird. It kept disconnecting on my phone but my Roku worked fine the whole time. For the price it's solid. Pool was nice. Breakfast was alright...I've had better Marriott breakfasts before. Lounge was closed, can't comment on that.
I stayed here for a business trip, my club level 4th floor room was very nice. Marcela made sure my room was cleaned thoroughly before my arrival. The pillows weren't comfortable and the bed was too soft.
Decent, at best. Room was okay minus the discolored ceiling. Bed was comfortable. Saw two giant roaches outside my room and the hallways usually had some sort of odd odor. The Glen at the front desk and shuttle driver were really nice though!
I cannot recommend this place at all.The lobby is nice and very welcoming. But you know what they say about judging a book by its cover.Once you leave the nice lobby area you'll see the first floor hallway and immediately become disoriented. We got to the second floor for our room and were met with another disorienting corridor. The dark wallpaper mixed with dim lighting plus the patterns on the walls and carpet prove to make the most sober feel like they closed the lobby bar at a distinguished hour of 10pm.If you're able to make it to your room without having a moderate seizure you're of a stronger make than me and my party. However, the worst is yet to come. You'll enter your room to a floor which hasn't been mopped since the early 70s and a carpet that had clearly been neglected as long. It's so dark in the room though, you stumble around looking for a light switch that will provide anything more than a faint glow at the entry; you will of course be disappointed because electricity was not invented when this place was built and therefore has no ceiling lights.Once you give up on your search for light, your stunned gaze will naturally scan the room to find the same seizure inducing wallpaper with a twist, it's now STAINED with hand prints all over - I'll let your imagination decide what the past guests were doing to cause those.Try not to focus on that for too long or you'll miss the startling sight of what seems like an actually lovely balcony. At a hotel!? No, it can't be! You walk over in a little of a rush until you get close and see it only has hobbit furniture sitting 2.5' off the ground, but without the luxury a hobbit would demand. Not a cushion in sight. They probably blew away from all the highway traffic which will either lull you to sleep or keep you awake as the noise is as inescapable as your utter disappointment and disbelief of this being a Marriot.Sleep tight! ????⚰️
