Everything on the menu of the Perfect Pear Bistro looked great. We were seated outside with our large group of 10 and enjoyed some cooling mist while we dined in the partial shade. Personally, we enjoyed the butternut squash and falafel tacos, and the southwest black beans on the side were a nice accompaniment. Everyone at our table enjoyed their variety of meals as well. I don’t think we could’ve gone wrong with anything on the menu. The service was quick and efficient, even for a large group.
I had a chance to share a faculty and student luncheon for a professor that is taking on a new job. The staff were very professional, fast service, food and drinks were very fair. The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing for friends and family to enjoy. The menu offers a selection of healthy choices as well.
We ate here around 7 p.m. on a Thursday after getting picked up from the airport. It was only around 10 - 15 minutes away. They have a small parking lot, but it still had a few spaces when we arrived. There may also be street parking nearby, but that is only a guess. You have to circle around their walled patio to the front entrance after you park. They have indoor and outdoor dining (with misters covering the patio, which I assume is common in this area). Their menu wasn't extensive, but it had more than enough options for our party. I had a BLT; I think others had a chicken sandwich and possibly a salad. From a large sign on the wall it appeared that they had an all-afternoon happy our on drinks but we arrived too late to take advantage of that. In all, I'd consider returning here for a meal if I were in the area.
My daughter graduated from ASU today & we decided to go to one of our favorite bistros in Tempe. Perfect Pear Bistro never disappoints, even on a day that more customers were expected. We had a party of 6 today & our server Cat set the bar high. Our beverages were filled the entire time. The delicious pear crumble with vanilla ice cream came out as our appetizer as we requested. Made everyone at the table smile as we all took a bite.Everything our group ordered was prepared and delivered wonderfully. Kudos to all the employees here that make every visit memorable.
This was our last night in AZ and so glad we found this lovely restaurant. Amazing meals with fresh ingredients. Creative salads and lots gluten free options. Wonderful staff, nice location with indoor and outdoor seating.
TL;DR: Super cute place with a delicious looking menu, but the service and execution was lacking. Wouldn't recommend.I wanted to love this place so much! The Perfect Pear Bistro is such a beautiful space and has an incredible menu. We wanted to try EVERYTHING. The restaurant was not too busy when we arrived and we were seated inside right away. After being seated, we didn't interact with anyone for about 20 minutes.We both ordered the French Pantry sandwich with fries. We didn't see anyone again for about 30 minutes when our waiter asked if we both ordered fries. In total, we waited about an hour to receive our food.The sandwiches weren't great just because we weren't a fan of the mustard that was used and it seemed to overwhelm the sandwich, but the sweet potato fries were incredible!When we received our bill, it wasn't itemized and was almost double what we had expected to pay. After requesting an itemized bill, we found that we were charged for several things we didn't order. It was quickly rectified by staff once notified!Overall, the amount of time that we had to wait for service, our very few interactions with staff in general, the food being not to our taste, and then a billing issue turned us off to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it and the person I came with won't ever go back. I may in hopes that this visit was a fluke.
Discovered this gem, and am glad that we did. The food is fresh, mostly healthy, and the menu is packed with lots of variety and lots of flavors. Salads, bowls, and grilled cheese sandwiches are reasons to keep coming back for more.
literally LOVE this place. Food is always amazing & in huge portions, we always end up with leftovers to take home. Drinks are strong and unique, definitely worth the money- & happy hour prices are great! Our server Mattie was very attentive and polite.
Creative menu that will make you come back to try more! I love how a lot of the dishes integrate fruits and veggies. The pesto dressing was outstanding, I loved my chicken sandwich too. I have gotten the taco's in the past and they are amazing. They have a nice outdoor patio that is shaded so even in the really hot months it is feasible to dine outside. Great atmosphere & service.
The food was really good. The service was excellent and friendly. The manager made rounds as well. If we lived in the area we would certainly be back frequently. The prices are also reasonable. We got the corn chowder, Tony’s perfect pasta and the quinoa garden bowl. We were so into the food the pictures were taken late in devouring them.
