Los this place! Just tried it for the first time with my girlfriend and it’s absolute a hidden gem. It’s family owned and we had a great time chatting with the owner Jeff and his wife. Great experience and we definitely will be back soon!
Excellent family-owned sandwich shop. All the ingredients are high-quality, and the sandwiches are made with care. You can really tell they actually eat there own food here, there's some places I've ordered from in the past that claim to be a cheesesteak shop that obviously haven't tried their own food in a while! This place is different. You can tell they put in a lot of care with each sandwich. Signs telling you to be patient because each order takes some time is always good sign to me that the food will be delicious, and it is. And it can get busy during lunchtime, so best to go early. Expensive, but worth it. My favorites are the mushroom & pepper cheesesteak (grilled mushrooms and marinaded bell peppers really add to the whole flavor profile) and the Pastrami.comm (with grilled onions). And every sandwich I've tried is always stuffed with plenty of meat.
Coming from Philadelphia, I wasn't sure what to expect from this Arizona mom and pop sandwich shop. Their Philly Cheese steak did NOT disappoint. The cheese steak was filled with meat, provolone cheese, onions and peppers (which I added to my order). The bread was crispy but tender. It was outstanding.Outside of the delicious food, what also impressed me was watching one of the employees (assuming an owner) help carry the food to a customer's table. They took care and pride in how they treat their customers and present their food.The menu was located on a huge screen TV and was easy to read. The decor of the shop was nothing to write home about. I didn't see a public restroom for use, but who cares! My focus was on their food!!Way to go guys!
Being from Philly, it's always a challenge to find a hoagie or cheese steak in the desert that has the true taste of home! The Original Hoagie Shop has nailed it!! The fresh bread, authentic ingredients & amazing service take me back to my neighborhood every time I visit (which is at least weekly!)
By far the best cheesesteak I have ever had. The food speaks for itself, and the family operating the restaurant are so kind and welcoming. One of my favorite food places in not just Arizona, but also in the country. If you are in the area and even consider stopping by it is heavily worth your time!P.S. the Whiz is made in-house by the owners themselves, and is better than any I have had in Philly

This was our first visit and were impressed. The hoagie I ordered, I should have asked without cheese as it was too much for me, but the rest was very good. The sandwich was so filling. The only part of this establishment is that they charge to pay with plastic/mobile pay. I understand that it's a small business, but those fees are a business deduction. Customers note, there is no restroom.
First off MY GOD THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST HOAGIE I HAVE EVER HAD AND IVE HAD ALOT. this place is an absolute must my food was made fresh and was delicious. Again THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!! If I could give more stars I would. I love the vibe of this place and has become my new favorite place
That shop is amazing and delicious! The pastrami.com tastes just like you are eating from the east coast. The chicken bacon ranch is mind blowing. Hands down the best hoagie in the entire state! Also the people who run this restaurant are fantastic. Great people who care for the food and the customer. I highly recommend 10/10
