Monroe's is a Nashville hot chicken style place. Parking is a bit of a struggle in the area. They have about a dozen tables inside, but it's a cool ambiance playing some hip hop and R&B style music. The service is hit or miss, they messed up a few of our orders when it wasn't busy. The food is ok, sandwiches are bit but flat so they smash it out to overlap the bun. In terms of heat, the scale is a bit underwhelming, so hot isn't hot at all. Mac n cheese was good and their waffle side was good with the syrup. Not my favorite chicken by far, but decent enough if you're looking for good portions at an ok price.
The best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had! I chose medium which packed a good amount of heat. The fries were well seasoned and crispy. Their Agave cream soda was delicious on a 93 degree day. There’s a chalk outline of a dead body when you walk I the door. Mug shots of celebrities line the walls. They played old school hip-hop music. The staff was very helpful and the got orders out quickly.
I would give it 4 stars if it were a little more consistent. My bf and I both ordered the "hot" chicken tender basket. His were delcious and flavorful, mine however had almost no sauce on them. They tasted like plain chicken.They give you tons of delicious fries in the basket which is great, but the chicken tenders are super tiny. There's definitely better places in town for hot chicken. Lastly, I find the atmosphere inside a bit obnoxious too, but they have a patio so its not a huge problem.
Man oh man! Listen if you haven't been here yet, trust me when I tell you that the hype is 100% factual and accurate! The chicken is cooked fresh, it's a plump juicy chicken breast fried perfectly with the right amount of batter and its delivered with a crunch and crisp! I had the medium and it had the right amount of heat, not too over bearing and the heat is delivered from the spices. A perfect combination with the slaw and pickles adds a nice coolness to complete the perfect sammich! And the fries....whew weeeee the seasoning and the sauce on point!

Usually the environment is hype and feel good buuttt this time it was like the workers were out of place and meek. ?Well, I Ordered the three piece medium and it was barely spicy? ?. Usually they make my order spot on fire? but maybe these were just new workers??? Someone better go train them up and show them what Nashville style is all about! ???Ahhh man I'm so upset my Monroe's buzz was killed.?up side was the greens were really good and satisfying as always?But yeah three stars this time Monroe's of Scottsdale...last time y'all were a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SO, I will be back to do more quality control cause you know I still love you haha ???

My 1st time here. It's nuts inside with the music, but worth it. Quite delicious chicken sandwich. I had the level 3 and was just hot enough that you knew it The onion rings were fantastic as well. Will be back ?
